Good 👍
can share the sheet music
This song was played at my father’s funeral in 1989. With the trumpets
Nice video sharing sir thank you
Hey, Whose funeral is it? ….. Yours ! 007
May I get a copy of the sheet music of "Always"?
I love that and would love to get the sheet music for this! Do you offer that anywhere?
Having played trumpet all my life I will say you’ve got fantastic sound. Good embouchure and verbrada. I would personally hold off on the first riff in the beginning of the piece and leave it solely for the last half for a more passionate effect. But wonderful job nonetheless! I can also hear a second trumpet playing along on certain measures perhaps playing a second trumpet part. Creating a harmonic effect. Beautiful though as is.
Are you playing a C trumpet or a B flat? I recently bought a C trumpet so I can play straight from the hymn book with the pianist at my church.
He plays B flat. See the description.
I enjoy the Tom and Lars shows
Thoroughly enjoyed Tom & Lars It's like having a private front seat in their Living Room
I love your background pic" When words fail, music speaks". So very true !😊
Beautiful, I always think of my grandma when I hear this song. After her husband of 73yrs died at 88yrs old, she would have me sing this song. Patsy Cline style. Thanks Tommy, Beautiful .
Simply beautiful Tommy !
Do a cornet version. That will be the bomb. Subscribed, but want cornet on this... Conditional???? LOL!!! BRAVO!
Frugal horn. For efficient folks that don't like to waste stuff.
Woooow... I am planning on taking trumpet in a few months and this is one of the reasons The piano soloing is really fantastic... 💯💯 This is really beautiful
Beautiful, just beautiful. Thank you.
So blessed to hear this beautiful music while putting things away in the condo. Love the hymn medley pure worship music. Thank you for your time and talents.
So love your antics along with beautiful music praising our Lord.
Thanks! 😁
Where can I get the sheet music?
I love this song and it sounds so good the way you guys did it!
@@joshvlad6090 Thanks so much! Believe it or not, there's no formal sheet music for this. We just make it up as we go!
Where can I get sheet music?
We don't have sheet music to these arrangements unfortunately. We make them up on the spot as we go.
Hey Aaron - check your church hymnal... assuming you go to church! If not, you can certainly find the hymn music on the internet. And if you're a musician, try playing it straight (as written) and then add your own style to it. And always remember the point of any hymn. Thanks Lars & Tom for letting me ad lib!
where can i get the scores of this version ?
Unfortunately, we don't have any written down sheet music, other than reading off hymn books. We make everything up on the spot, as we go.
am i the one that hears long live the queen in this to
How I love those hymns I grew up with and you make them sound even more amazing. Thank you for playing them.
Heloo, we from indonesia. God Bless
WOW! Fantastic!
Wunderfull
Beautiful guys. Is this a published arrangement?
It's boring when you talk first and playing later. Do the opposite and it will be more enjoyable
Beautifully done. I like it with the flugelhorn.
Play it again and again and again!! Wonderful
Thank you Joni!!
Very nice Tom. May Holy Spirit always infuse every note with prayerful meditation. For HIS glory!
Thank you, Gerard. That means a lot.
Mmmm...,so beautiful!!!!!
Thank you, Connie. Much appreciated.
Thank you Miss Connie. As the great late Arthur Rubenstein (my FAVORITE) pianist said, "The piano is the easiest instrument in the world to play. Just put your hands and fingers over the right notes and the piano does the rest". Remember the sustaining pedal is soul of the piano.
@@tomhilton8299 if only that were true!
@@connieprewitt6128 ..............was completely wrong on the quote. It was was the father of our Western music, J.S. Bach......who pased away in 1750. He is the one that said it. But he didn't say the piano as it had not been invented yet. He said, "the keyboard" (pre-Microsoft) by a couple of years. By the way, I can't wait to meet J.S. Bach. Everything he wrote he signed, "to God alone be the glory.". Now that is super-cool.
@@tomhilton8299 wow! To God be the Glory! Amen 🙏
Amazing!! It is a joy to hear you play these precious hymns.
Jean, that is so kind. When one plays those hymns the text just jumps off the page. They were written through extreme pain realizing as a Christian this is as bad as it gets for us. It was written by Mr. Stafford a blind preacher of England. And later William Bradbury (a rock star in hymnody) put it to a great tune.
There is no sweeter time than time spent with Our Lord!
I love to hear you play! I seem to day this every time but this too is one of my favorite hymns. Jesus is the best friend anyone can have and I am so glad that He is my best friend too!! He never leaves us or forsakes us.
Fancy that! Never heard it played so magnificent!
Hi Brothers! Thank you for Your music! God bless You! What is that intro music from 0:50-0:57, and at the end 5:20 min?
Just beautiful as always!
Thank you my dear Hucleby friend from Carthage
Beautiful Tom! Well done!
Thank you Jim. Much appreciated
Awesome Tom. Saw Missouri last week on the way to Oklahoma. Wow what a beautiful state! Made me think of you guys. I also would love to hear Larry again real soon. Gerard
Thank you Getard. Missouri is a beautiful state. Also I appreciate your comments. They are always positive and uplifting. May God continue to bless you.
Very nice. Been missing Lars on the trumpet. I hope all is well with him.
Great question. Lars is so involved in taking care of his family via a new career in commercial real estate, etc. He is at our church (FBCR) about 2 days a week. As close as I am to him, I am lucky to have a conversation with him 1-2 times per month. I have begged him to do a cameo appearance. He had agreed but the time has not been set.
I agree. I Miss Lars also
So beautiful Tom.
Amazing! I am also a trumpet player as well
I woke up one morning recently actually singing the chorus of that hymn in my mind. I remembered it from my childhood. But haven’t thought about since. In searching for it i was brought here. Thank you! And I do agree now after reading the text it is a wonderful hymn.
I have so many favorites, this being one of them. Beautiful.
Thank you my SBU chemistry lab partner and dear friend!!!
Thank you Jean. Much appreciate your encouragement.
I love that him! Beautiful, Tom!! Thanks so much!!
Just lovely Tom!
Thanks my Carthaginian friend!!
Beautiful Tom.
Thanks Bill. Much appreciated my dear friend from my favorite state, IA. Makes me love 'The Music Man" all the more.
Truly beautiful!!!! Did you move your Steinway? And, what of Lars? He on strike? 😊
Great questions Miss Connie. This is the Steinway in the choir room at the First Baptist Church of Raytown. Even though I love my piano, I am goofy stupid about this one. We obtained this under Paul Brooks' ministry at the church after fund raising, etc. I went to Steinway & Sons in New York to pick it out. And that level, you don't pick the piano, it picks you. And this piano picked out FBCR. By far my favorite instrument built 100% in America. What is funny is people told H.E. Steinway (the founder of Steinway & Sons in 1853) to stay out of the piano business he didn't know what he was doing.
