      No they screw in to all the timbers that run up the roof that the tiles sit on

    That's how I fix them with the battern up as you get better fixings points that way . Not like on new builds when they nail in to the end of the lath like . You don't wanna be cutting them down on tops tho as they need to slide under the tiles as it stops water running behind them . Can see y you cut them due to the mortar bed between the tiles

      These guys have just cut the tile overhang to the correct gauge with a small angle grinder so why the hell didn't they do the same with the mortar inbetween the tiles instead of "BUTCHERING" the DVU's with the same grinder and wrecking them at the same time? Clowns? Or enemies of red Indians.?🤣🤣🤣

    Quick question. Just about to tile my mono pitched roof on a single storey extension. Should I tile it first and then do the dry verge or do it as I go? Or doesn’t it matter at all? Nice little video by the way.

      Hi Tom. I would tile the roof first and cut the tiles as you go, to the correct overhang in preparation for the dry verdge. Once the roof is tiled and all the overhanging tiles have been cut that will make the installation of the dry verdge system easier. But if it's a (continuous dry verdge) and not the caps, Then you would install the continuous verdge first and tile last. Hope that helps Tom 👍👍👍

    How much mm of tile do you leave for you over hang?

    • @romanpaving2879
      @romanpaving2879 2 роки тому

      Generally 50mm but it may depend on what brand of dry verdge caps you use but generally 50mm. Little tip,,,measure the width of the tile coverage on the cap and that will tell how much overhang you need in order for the caps to fit Flush to facia board. Thanks for watching We have more uploads coming,,,Indian sandstone and porcelain. Anymore info drop us a comment
