Don't Surrender IV

The road is long, and dark will come The light aint far away you just got to wait for the dawn Searching eyes, burdens lie The sun won't gone away you got to wait for it to shine Broken dreams aren't what they seem They're only tickets to another life Yeah you just gotta try so don't surrender Poison stares, false promises When you're outside looking in crying tears of red Words of stone that j...

SEE THE LIGHT
Переглядів 984 роки тому
If only I could see the light If only I could see the light Shadows on the ceiling Voices of defeat are talking loud If only I could feel the love I'd call out to the lord above Maybe I can see tomorrow If only I could see the light If only I could feel the son Shining deep into my soul Words of healing The mirror smiling back at me If only I could hear the rain Washing all those tears away But...

Taped this off Triple M in the mid 90's. Originally broadcast on either 2SM or Double J late 1975. Brief but good.

The sound is a tad bright and needs more gain, but the licks are somewhat close.
Grooving with Kelp & Warchevski

Put this classic Nutty Professor scene on repeat with a guitar in hand. Yes I was bored but you could make something out of it with some work. Probably may not be anything memorable though :)

Hi Bill - great!
like the song Glenn
nice one
That's pretty cool, playing both guitar parts on one guitar!
Great song Glenn the music is great and the words are deep , you should be proud of this wonderful song, you’re very talented mate
Thanks a lot Wayne.
Hey Glenn, Great Track. Suggest contacting Netflix. They are always looking for new talent, for there Movie and Series production house.
Will do. Thanks mate
Good one, Glenn. I wish sometimes that I could trade something of mine for your voice.
I'll take your knowledge :)
Impressive track Glenn :)
Down payment blues is the story of my Life but Susie actually my sister's name and she was quite successful but me at the time I thought Bon somehow heard from my family or friends and thought it would be a great song,RIP Bon saw him once in concert and I never saw a concert that compared to ACDC . Thanks for the memories!!!
he had some pipes on him
Damn don't know how I ended up here but this tune is pretty fucking cool
Thanks mate
Found this after reading the comments to an Animals video. Expected something ridiculous, but actually I really like your playing. 99 of 100 homemade videos on youtube are not as good as this one. Good luck!
I remember the spat you're referring to. Something to do with Alan Price vs Burdon. I'm old enough to know better then to exchange insults online with a silly person. Thanks for the comment. Appreciated
good job
dat metal vibrato xD
very cool!
Merit worthy song about methylmorphine,Glenn. Regards.
Great 'work',Glenn. Regards.
Thanks Karen. Glad you liked it.
So yeah.... that makes me want to Party ;) love it, Glenn <3
He is fine - the crash is too small was my point.
Yea, The Every Brothers should have done it too...
That's Nando on drums. He did a great job. He'd never played with us before. He only had a brief sound check and while he was familiar with the Beatles, he'd never played the solo Lennon stuff before. It wasnt his kit, it's Bill's.
Awesome song - but I hate the drummers crash! But great original song!
What's a riff?
Best song Mick Jagger every wrote in my opinion
Very nice!! I love that solo and wanted to see someone play it. :)
Perfect !
wonderful man- good going
Awesome!!
Fantastic Lennon pipes bro! Perfect!
Well done!
You know what I think of when I hear people oozing over those shows? It's how people like Johnny Winter, Stevie Wonder, Patti Smith, Bo Diddley and a legion of others don't have "The Look" the music industry thinks might work right now. Can you dig that? Whenever I hear people gush over Adele or Duffy fluttering their eyes on fashion magazine covers, I think of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and the absolute power in their classic soul sound. But Sharon's beauty doesn't fit the cookie cutter.
I've had a real disdain for the mainstream music industry since the 70's. I remember how radio stations here often fell into the "pay for play" holes with the major labels and the way women and people of color who stepped outside of the "genre" boxes hardly ever saw the light of day. Lookism has always been huge, but now it's beyond insane. Why the hell should a woman have to shake her ass like Beyonce and court the paparazzi/gossip hounds to be widely accepted? It's not about art and talent.
Thanks! Sorry it took me days to respond -- I caught some awful stomach flu from work. Really knocked me out since last week! It's always so rad to meet others with similar deep souls for music and so many other arts. She was incredible. She fought so hard to play guitar and get respect for it. People thought she was crazy but she was brilliant. I must say, no, indeed, I'm not a fan of those spectacle shows. It's like watching a music machine cranking out new pop cookies. So strange.
you got some fine taste in music. Sister Rosetta was awesome. Always found it hard to play the white SG Gibson 3 pick up guitar she played, as the one in the middle gets in the way of picking when I'm soloing so I've never got one. Others do it no problem as well. I take it you dislike the Idol, Voice juggernaut...
Cool! I'll definitely check it out. Even in my grizzled old punk rock heart, I still have a soft spot for 70's ballady stuff. I have to say, watching blues guitarists perform in Chicago growing up, I loved to see how deeply they felt the blues in their body movements, faces, etc. Like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Stevie, jeez -- even performances I've watched of Sister Rosetta -- there's real magic in how connected they are to the music flowing from their fingers. You've got that :o)
Thank you for watching and that comment! Yea losing Stevie that one hurt. He resurrected the blues. I recorded an original song that I did a very basic clip for that I'll upload in the next few days. Not blues but a sort of 70's ballady thing. Cheers :)
Brilliant! You've really got skills! One of the biggest things I do miss about Chicago is being in a city that loves the blues. It's hard to find good blues clubs out here in San Francisco. Can you believe Stevie Ray Vaughan would've been almost 60 years old now?? I still miss his immense talent. Keep up the great work and exploring your gift!
Excellent !!Unique technique. Cheers, mate!! I read your comment about Keith and George`s early guitar sound. "Stradivarius compared to Keith's ukelele-like sound"...haha... I laughed, but I know it's the truth!
@Stones77 Thanks. I've got Jealous Guy & How do you sleep from this same gig as well uploaded.
@PicciProductions I know this is a year late in coming but I recorded this on a cassette and played back through a portable player that runs at a much slower speed. I had to tune down my guitar to it a half step. Cheers :)
Very Nice cover .... could have turned off the distraction in the background .. both audio and visual : ) ... but still very NICE!!!!
