This is a Board Gaming channel where I will post playthroughs and gameplay sessions to give people a sense of how to play a game, and whether or not that game is for them. My main inspiration comes from youtuber RickyRoya, whose walkthroughs explain games with such clarity that he makes Mage Knight feel like Monopoly, and Rahdo, for his enthusiasm, energy, and engaging camera that's always moving to follow the action.
I'll post reviews occasionally, but honestly this is meant to be a fun teaching environment, and for the next while I'll be attempting to post a video three times a week. I love how supportive and encouraging the board gaming community is, and I am hoping to contribute towards that positive environment. Thank you for your views and interest.

after u attach a order tile to a character,can u place CP on a used tile on the next turn if u havent used that portion of the tile and u have enough CP for the character?and when u reactivate the character?
could u explain what the different colors represent on the order tiles...and(in future scenarios) if it has red 1 gun icon ,how many CP could u put on it..?

there are next to zero explanatory videos so any new one would be a plus.
At 14:00, after Noras gets the two white which causes him to draw two, he gets a green. Wouldn't that mean he would get to draw three more?
you're moving through tile which have a block line of sight / value to them. Do you need to close combat them before you can move through? (like you would a wall/door, but then with the defense value written on the board)
hi. do you remember if you can defend in melee using also the dices of the hand weapon if you have one?

Hy! We played scenaio 4 yesterday and we assume that jec pack dont blow up mine and can't be interrup during the fligth. After the game I found on the french forum that the designer said this is the way to play but I found nothing about the possibility to open the doors. We played with the possibility of doing it and it save my game. Otherwise I would have lost because Vasquez have 360 angle of view and have mouvement detector so she can play any order for interruption actions. And nothing about the possibility of landing on a yellow area. For this point we were thinking the zombies cames out of the tubes or the bed on a none fordiben square. And also because from a thematic point there is no reason/possibility for them to stand on the tube. But I can see that you put them on the tube. So to us having the possibility of opening the dorr is not so over powered. But still since I couldn't find oficial answer I looking for opinion. And to be thematic let's say it's RFID/contact less card that exist since 20 years in public application and 30's in the nuclear field.
Hi. I know I'm late to the party but been watching your videos, because I've bought MK UE. A 27:25, what is your reason to use a unit to block, if you have skill (3 defense) and your player lvl (3 defense) and the attack of medusa is 6? You could have save all those crystals. What I don't see here?

I guess it is because when you are not able to block an attack completely, then the damage goes through entirely. Let see if this makes any sense: 1. The Player can not kill Medusa during the ranged and sieged attack phase. 2. Then he has to pass to the block and assign damage phases. Let say that Player decides to absorb the attack: he has only 3 blocks from the skill token (he could have decide to tap the Swiftness card to get 4 blocks, but it would not be enough to block the Medusa's attack). You can not combine blocks from card or token with your armor's value. Armor only reduces the attack value of an enemy. 3. So when the Player is not able to block an attack, then the attack goes through at full attack's power. In this case the attack value is 6, which means 2 wounds for the player (6 attack - 3 armor reduces the attack at 3 and Player gets a wound, attack 3 - armor 3 reduces the attack to 0 and Player gets another wound). But Medusa has paralyze effect, too... and a wounded Player must discard all non-Wounds cards for that effect... 4. therefore he will be not able to counter-attack and kill the monster. And nor his units as the Golem has only Attack 2

Question!!!! Lol. When you did the damage on Jeff Deeler at around 12:40 you said he adds 2 to his shield because of the number in his white zone on his card (it's in a blast symbol) when he defends against Franck. I thought that meant the character automatically took 2 damage? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm confused. Or did I just hear you wrong? Question #2: So I noticed Vasquez has blast symbols with numbers and has no yellow dice icons for her attack area. How does (or would) her attack against someone work? Question #3: I thought I noticed there were red lines on both sides of the map, so does it matter which side she runs off on to be home free? Or is it actually specific? Thanks for reading! Sorry if I missed the answer to my own questions in the video.
guitarherochampion92 1. No, that symbol on characters means automatic hits when attacking or defending. This also answers question 2, the symbol means you don't roll dice and have 2 automatic hits. Make note an "automatic hit" isn't the same as a critical hit. 3. There's a specific red line she had to run across, shown on the scenario setup. There is a compass on the map and she needs to leave South (red arrows are shown as well).

Hiya, great walkthrough really enjoyed you explained things excellently helped to getbto grips with that flow of the game... One question where it comes to rampaging hordes ( the daggers on game tiles) I see you initiated battle when alongside them is this allowed....!! I thought the only way to enter battle with rampaging hordes was by moving into two adjacent hexes...? I'm no expert and I'm just clarifying a point I'm in no way picking at your gameplay as I say I thought it was excellent but....!
Alan Barnes - He played it correctly. Check the rulebook, Combat With Enemies, page 7 (1-d). If you are standing adjacent to a rampaging enemy token, you can challenge it to combat. You are referring to 1-e on the same page which has to do with moving from a space adjacent to a rampaging enemy and then moving to another space adjacent to the same enemy.
Yeah I know I was new a newbie and learning to play then.... I soon realised my mistake as with all new games especially mk which is a beast of a game it takes a while to learn all the nuances of the game.....

To clarify the rule regarding resetting the mana dice, see page 3 of the rulebook under Game Setup. If *at least half* of the dice rolled are basic colors, you don't reroll non-basic colors. So for example if there are 4 dice and 2 are black or gold, you don't reroll. What I hear you repeating is that if at least half of the dice are *non-basic colors*, which is not true.
Your videos are so different from other youtubets like rahdo, who claim this game is super hard. Yet after watching your videos, rules do not seem to be overcomplicated. Good job :)
Have you tried to play yet? This game is far from easy to understand.
Yeah people get so worked up about the difficulty but it's really not bad at all. Playing once or twice will work out the kinks then you should be good to go!!
Jack Saw can't spend more than 4 CPs per turn including interrupts so I think he spends too much on this turn.
At 8:12, you played rage giving 1 attack and turned two cards for a total of 3 attack, but since he had resistance, you should have needed 4 total attack to defeat the remaining 2 defense after using Cold Toughness. Or am I missing something?
Kevin Brandenburg The one card was attack of 2 which equals 1, plus 2 tapped equals 1, thus, being enough to do 2 damage.
thanks quick qustion: 1 how many tiles can you get rid of each turn i dont know if you put that there 2 are you allowed to make scenarios yourself 3 this is strange but is that a computer desk

In the combat at the beginning of 2/4 you skipped the ranged attack phase. You had ranged attack 3, does the ranged attack have to be double if they have physical resist as well. I was under the impression from another guide I watched that ranged attack didn't take into account their resists?
as a ranged attack is not fire or ice its pysical, so ye i think he needed 6 ranged to kill it,
what i think her is that ranged and siege that is not fire or ice is pysical, and needs 6 on that one, cys it stats pysical dmg, thats how i see it tho, might be wrong
in this video , you made this difficult game look easy , I really enjoyed all 4 walk through videos , although I was kinda disappointed to find out that was the end of mage knight on your channel

At min. 27.00 you can't use the Herbalists healing ability. The moment you say "I enter the den" you're in combat, and healing effects cannot be activated during combat. But overall, a terrific walkthrough.
I was about to comment on this, but I was a year too late. If the ability had been used before entering the den (and initiating combat), it would have been fine.
