Foil?
I would be fascinated to have this designer ride my newest design as well and compare. Independently designed and yet my latest has some big similarities. I can't say it's pitchy though, I ride my wings to attach to Axis fuselage ultra short advance and it seems like I designed mine in a similar plan view to the YPRA freestyle but with a bit more sweep, a bit more taper and quite likely more thinning. 1m span and 1240 sqcm area. Lots of us now loving how shapes like this ride, F-one, Naish, Duotone, Moses, North, Me 😎 I designed mine to be very agile on waves, great glide and low stall speed and that's what I got.
I design my own foils and I'm impressed which is unusual for me. A lot of foil designers are very average in their skills but Gong's designer is willing to experiment and learns from his mistakes, he also has the passion to push his craft forward and not just sit still on old successes. I'm surprised I missed this video, My last foil design that I absolutely love shares a similar planform to the veloce. I like to think I have some aspects of it's shape better than the veloce but it's hard to be sure. For those who say bad things about Gong, I agree that their after sales reputation is well known to be poor. But the designs are quality.

Salut j’y suis passé samedi matin pour acheter une wing foil first accueil sympathique bon conseil, MAIS … évidemment il y’a un mais 😂 perso j’ai expliqué au gars que je venais de loin pour voir le magasin qui vaut le coup d’œil et si je lui prenais la wing un peu plus chère il pouvait me faire une petite offre sur la casque et la un Gros NON dans la tronche et c’est tout 😂 perso je suis commercial et quand je suis partie j’avoue j’avais un goût amer. Vous avez un espace au top un super outil de travail quand tu laches plus de 1000€ de matos sans trop discuter c’est pas très commerçant et perso le vendeur est un peu froid. Brefs je fais des promotions aussi dans mon taf mais j’y vais avec un peut plus de t’acte si je peux pas faire un test mais je me débrouille toujours. Enfin il y’a plus qu’à s’y coller 😅
Hello, Nous sommes sincèrement désolés de lire ton commentaire malgré tout le temps passé ensemble. C’est moi qui t’ai accueilli et renseigné samedi matin. Et effectivement après un long moment de discussion et d'explications sur les packs de wing First, tu m'as demandé une remise, à laquelle je n’ai pas pu répondre positivement. Tout simplement parce que nous ne pouvons pas ajouter un geste commercial à une remise déjà existante sur un produit. En effet, ces packs bénéficient déjà d’une remise très importante. Nous sommes d’ailleurs la seule marque à proposer des packs complets de wing à moins de 1000€ ! Et pour réussir ce tour de force, nous nous appuyons sur notre modèle de vente en direct d’une part, mais également du fait de marges extrêmement faibles sur ce type de produits. C’est le choix que nous faisons afin de permettre au plus grand nombre d’avoir accès à nos sports. Il ne nous est pas possible dans ce cas d’offrir un ou plusieurs articles en plus, ou une remise supplémentaire, et ce même dans le cas d’un budget qui reste effectivement conséquent. Parfois c'est possible, mais parfois, ça ne l'est pas. Encore une fois sincèrement désolé, car nous avons passé un long moment à échanger, et finalité n’est à priori pas positive. En espérant que tu puisses comprendre notre point de vue. Nous restons évidemment à ton écoute si tu as besoin de conseils ou d'informations. Merci.

Vidéo super sympa. Ambiance, images, rotations avec de la nouveauté. Merci de nous montrer aussi les gamelles, ça fait du bien. Derrière le niveau incroyable de Malo, cela nous permet de voir le travail énorme des entraînements, avec des prises de risques pour tenter encore et encore de nouvelles figures. Les instructions aident, mais en vrai, c'est une galère. Petite précision de nos ( il faut être 2 pour pousser et tirer le bladder) galères. À partir de l'installation de la nouvelle vessie : - Les valves à scratcher, n'ont plus de rebord, elles sont plates, impossible d'y attacher une corde. Pas de panique tu peux le faire remonter juste avec la corde côté durite. - une fois fait, reprend le tutoriel - très difficile de faire ressortir la durite, y'a peut-être mieux à faire mais il y'a une telle tension qu'on à dû mordre la durite pour avoir la force de la mettre en place. - dernière galère, remettre la bague. Faut forcer sur du mou, pas simple mais tu y es arrivé une fois fait. Voilà, si tu galères, ne panique pas, nous on en à ch... mais ça se fait. Avec un peu de technique et des bons tips ça va le faire. Si non, gong prend 25euros + bladder + port ( à vérifier j'écris à la volée), en tout cas ils le font. Ça nous a pris 1h, mais avec le tuto et un peu de technique, ça se passera mieux pour toi !

How do you get the perfect gloss finish without using a mold? Epoxy flood coat? I see no texture in the gloss, no orange peel, like spraying clear coat. Amazing!

Congratulations Guillaume! You emphasize how the new foil / front wing helped to progress: can you specify what material you are using (foil/front wing/stab/mast/board/wing) ?
Finally foil producers realized this idea! :) Cut resistance materials have been used for couple of years in scating, hockey, mountain ski, etc... WE NEED CUT RESISTANT PANTS and SOCKS as well!
