Yeah, the outlaw events are tricky in this one. They are not timed but instead subject to certain conditions, one of them being religion, thats what the early chapel is for. I think there are ones for meat and apples, too. When in doubt, check the mission settings in the editor. I also did that to get enough troops to survive the waves!

Well, for my highscore, I definitely survived for more than a few years. You need lots of archers of course, and I used ballistas on the towers to deal with the armoured units. Fire might also work. I think you can use boiling oil if i remember correctly.

Correct. There is an invasion which appears every 2 months and the map creator forgot to deactivate the event when the mission timer runs out... You cant kill all enemies in time without signpost slaughtering and even then I needed too many troops that the attacking armies were capped out due to the sprite limit... Its very frustrating. I even thought of recruiting 1500 ladderman to block the incoming waves completely, but in the end, I took the approach in the video and tried to recruit enough crossbowmen before the infinite waves to deal with the attacks.

I figured it out myself with a quick google search but thank you for this video and showing me there is apparently a quick way and shortcut to manage troops. A game changer tbf

Hehe, I am glad you found it by yourself. Grouping is a common feature in many games like this and indeed very useful! :-)

Do you have any specific situations in mind? In general, its because im running all the time, so the melee guys cant catch me and the ranged guys shoot behind be because they dont take my speed into account. Later, I had my tanks in front to get focused and my fragile mages were following at a safe distance. My recruits may have been lacking a few levels compared to my normal groups, but they are not too underleveled, so they can take several hits without dying. :-) There are however a few sections in the second third which were indeed rather impossible to run through with a mage thats like 20 levels behind. In those cases I had to use Invisibility to run by everyone unnoticed. My clone at 45:05 is a good example of what would have happened without it! >:-) Oh, well, and playing on easy helped of course. ^^

Simply select a siege engine and move your mouse over it until those green arrows appear. If you then click again your engineers will leave and you can disband the empty siege engine. I did it quickly but if you look closely you should see it now. :-)

Correct, you start with 5 maces, so you only need 75 iron to complete the objective!

Unfortunately, it is. Only after you defeat the final waves will you win, even when you got the 20k gold earlier... -.- But I edited out 40min of waiting to get my video down to a reasonable time ;-)

I just tried a little bit and it seems that there is some kind of point near the quarry area that also counts as an open spot which needs to be outside the walls. Maybe there are more spots. You can try it yourself by building a normal wall around your keep and then gradually extend it to the edge of the map to see where a wall is needed and where not.

Not the first time I read a comment like this. ^^ I can only assume that you are placing your archers too far away from the towers. There is only one exact distance where they reach the enemy archers without being shot or shooting in the ground. It always worked for me and I have seen it done in other videos, too... Still, you can have a look at my bonus strategy, or the brute force approach in my military campaign speedrun on easy or my glitchy strategy in my military campaign speedrun on very hard. Maybe one of these strategies works better for you. :-) Good luck!

Haha, yes thats correct, spacebar toggles the view between flat and normal ^^

I waited for my first mill until the first wheat came in which takes about a year after building the wheat farms. One mill was enough for the 3 rather distant wheat farms. Only at the middle after having built more farms, I had so much wheat in store that it made sense to build a second one :-)

@@LordBalder ohh I see. I just completed this mission on EASY MODE after 3 tries 🤣 So far it's a pretty cool game despite me sucking so much at it. Thanks for answering!

@@SabOTEurrrr I played a lot of different games this year, but nothing where I excelled too much. ;-) I started with the latest Tomb Raider Trilogy, then switched to Idle Slayer and contrary to the name, played it all day long. ^^ I even started writing a bot, so I could play when I am asleep or at work. Active play was rewarded much more than in other Idle games, so I progressed super fast and reached a point after 2 months where others take years. Now after grinding for 2 more months, I almost completed the ascension tree and am ready for something new. ;-) My latest game was Beltmatic and the next one might be the Untitled Goose Game :-D
