Mystery Horror Wax Pack Openings with Buddies
Welcome to another episode of Mortisect, where we put a twist on our "Wax Pack Opening" series. This time, my two buds, ReRe and Dan, pick from a mystery bag to see what horror wax (or foil) pack they will open for Mortisect fans. The oldest pack of cards is from 1988 (meaning someone might be "urged" to chew very old bubble gum) or 1997 (the foil pack era). Join us for some laughs as we engage in the age old tradition of wax pack openings during a night out with good friends.

“Hello Mary Lou” was a fun one.
Awesome! I remember seeing “Saturday the 14th” as a kid.
Had a fun time hanging with ya that night. Thanks for letting me participate in one of your videos.
@@mergos7879 Thank you for doing it. You were great and your commentary was top tier!
😂😂
LOVE the MISFITS!!💀💀💀
I would say many of Lucio Fulci scenes are pretty disturbing too. That eye gouge tease in this video definitely makes me cringe.
I hate "eye horror" but you cannot LOOK AWAY LOL
So much eyeball violence in this one...
Italian horror directors see EYE-to-EYE on this approach 😄. Thanks for the comment!
Horror treasure: Mr. Frost with Jeff Goldblum.
Your not alone! I love physical media! I bought the ones i could also!
I highly recommended reading Vincent Prices autobiography. What a fascinating read for horror fans. Thank you I love your content.
Thank you!!
There are a couple here i didn't know were public domain. Thanks its my day off so im going to enjoy a couple!
Enjoy! Looking forward to hearing back about what you thought of them.
I just discovered your channel! I cant wait till more. You have some obscure horror videos. Awesome, i subscribed immediately. Im glad ill be here to watch your channel grow. Thank you

Stop using ai dude
Makes me look forward to the fall and Halloween. I am ready to mash!🎉
@@mergos7879 it’ll be here before we know it. Ready to mash myself!
Classic!
@@de-stressnow84 Indeed.
I went to the first CatastrophiCon in summer '23, and I had a great time. Looking forward to going again this year!
I’ll see you there👍. We will be filming at this year’s event.
Awesome! Never heard of these before. Now I've got something for movie night.
@@otismadigan3882 enjoy movie night! Tell me what you think of the selections afterwards.
Donny Kohler from Don't Go Into the House
Good one 👍
Donny also had a flamethrower-how crazy is that! Great list! Can’t wait for the next one!
@@de-stressnow84 Thanks! A little trivia-the actor who played Donny Kohler, Dan Grimaldi, played Patsy and Philly Parisi in "The Sopranos."
Love Bela and the Misfits.
@@de-stressnow84 Agreed 👍
Great list. Gotta check some of these out.
@@watchwheneverworks8575 Glad you enjoyed the list!
Thanks for the review as now I do t have to waste time going there! Not a huge Funko guy anymore so this is an easy pass…..
Their NECA Horror figure collection was good if you’re into them, but it’s overwhelming Funko Pop. Sounds like a sound decision on your part if they’re not your thing.
I gotta check it out sometime. If I see you there, that Chucky will be yours.
Thank you 👍 I was dissuaded since my collection is growing, but there is always room for one more😄
@@Mortisect totally understand. I was rooting for Chucky to find his forever home lol.
Thank you so much. I was your guide on the ghost tour. I am glad that you had a good time on your ghost tour.
You were great, Cheryl! Thank you for making both ghost tours a wonderful and memorable experience!
hmmmm....El Homre Lobo? OR..... La Momia Azteca? im going for The Wolf Man here. However. If you have seen Face of the Screaming Werewolf (aka 1959's La Casa Del Terror, Mexico), you will know that this may be a trick question. Aw hell. Ill still put my money on The Wold Man. AMAZING art btw
@@fletchkeilman2205 I hear the Mummy gets distracted and too wrapped up into himself during a fight (As you can tell, I purchased many Mad Magazines as a kid). The Wolf Man is never a bad bet! As always, thanks for the comment!
Thanks for sharing a little of your trip out there. Hope it was a fun and spooky time.
@@mergos7879 My pleasure and thanks for watching!
Have you ever seen "555"? Oh it would definitely make this list! Great content, btw! Subbed ....provided that you don't go all "AI" on us, hahaha!! I think the box art fit Microwave Massacre was better than anything in the movie. Used to scare the crap outta me! But then I finally saw this....uhm....movie, haha. What a lump of poop! This movie, and Lunch Meat are the biggest examples of box art being better than the actual films themselves. Spookiest, however, was a LOT of fun, despite being almost incoherent.
Thank you for your insightful comments and for the sub! AI is certainly a time saver but you've inspired me to reconsider using my own voice in the narrating duties. Hopefully, I won't lose subs when I use my voice lol. Agreed on "Microwave Massacre." The marketing illustrators had a wonderful style when it came to horror films and I always wished that the movie would be a quarter of how cool the art was on the VHS covers. I've never seen "555," but now it's on my list. Maybe I will do a spotlight on it 👍!
The 139?
“Where Eagles Dare” if you are referring to the song.
I really enjoy these mini docs!
@@ReaderSeeksRomance Thank you for watching and glad you’re enjoying them!
Another silent horror classic that's available for free on-line is "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". Well worth a watch for the cinematography alone (a triumph of German expressionism), but the influence of the story and the premise on later movies such as James Whale's "Frankenstein" is clear.
Thank you for the suggestions! Both true classics in the genre. I think another “Top 10” episode to cover those films missed in public domain is in order!
Not ashamed to show how "dumb" I am by telling I've bought all these top 10 listers on DVD back when that was the thing, even though I could watch them for free, except for the 1920 Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Not even sure I've seen it. Well, that should be remedied soon. :) But I'm not mad for throwing away that money. For once, some of the purchases supported a distributor of obscure movies, so that's nice. Also, they had some fun extras. (that probably also is free to watch somewhere...) My Phantom of the Opera copy is lost though. Someone probably borrowed it and decided to keep it. Can't remember.
I'm very happy with my "Carnival of Souls" DVD. I also agree with supporting distributors who see the value of distributing unique and important horror films from the genre. Thank you for sharing! P.S. I hope you get that copy of "Phantom" back (even if it is a longshot)!
Romero's NotLD was a milestone. It almost created a clear shift between older voodoo zombies and later contagious ones.
@@donkfail1 Absolutely! It is an important and influential film in horror history. Thank you for sharing this observation!
❤
Never heard of “Death Bed.” Looks like an art house horror film.
@@watchwheneverworks8575 It’s worth checking out if you can find it online for free.
😂 I'm covered in ink... and I say the same when I get bloodwork done. Get really strange looks. Lol when they point out my ink, I tell them "yea I have tattoos, but those needles don't go into my bloodstream. Duh"
Thumbs up for the Misfits.
Your cousin with no hesitation eating that gum lol. Hope you and the family had a Happy 4th.
Same to you!
I miss those misfits
Good.
Thank you!
I don't know if you mentioned Ghostwatch in the other video. It's an infamous made-for-TV movie available on Internet Archive.
Thank you so much for your reply. I might have to do a top 10 made-for-tv horror movies episode. Thanks for watching!
@@MortisectI hope you do because there's a bunch from the 70s. A cold night's death,. The screaming woman, how awful about Alan, and so on.
