This is a commercial featuring my grandfather, Clarence Ward. It was filmed at Ward Welding in Springtown Texas in late winter 1971. It was produced by the Southern Baptist Radio & Television Commission, and aired mostly on the west coast. I was in the 4th grade at the time, and was given early dismissal from school that day to witness the filming. This video was archived from film to magnetic tape by the SBRTC, and we were given a VHS copy in in the 1980s. I converted the VHS to DVD, and then used to DVD to make an MPEG4 file for sharing.

Manufactured by Ward Welding in Springtown, TX from 1960's thru 1990's. The artisan, CW Ward, at 81 YOA, is shown operating his 40 year-old creation. The product, used to hold cattle in place for vaccines, dehorning, and other needs, features one person, one-handed operation for both cature and release.

I have good news for those of you who have been asking for blueprints. I have the fundamental drawing of all the parts and pieces. I am working now on putting those into a set of plans that can be marketed - and figuring out a way to market them and still protect our design integrity. Look for more information - hopefully in early 2023.
Status on these plan?
@@averagedrivewaymechanic300 still working onnit. My resources aren't making it a priority, so I guess I'm going to have to draw it up myself. As soon as I teach myself how to do digital drafting. 🤦♂ I do have drawings (from a friend) of most of the parts and pieces, but they are done in multiple different formats. So I need to draw them up in a common format, and show the assembled product with an exploded diagram, I am setting a goal for myself to have it by September.

No blueprints available. I have a working model on hand. Lots of recent interest. I will look into getting blueprints made up and make them available for a fee. You should message me at 817-657-6584 if you were truly interested. Other means of messaging not so reliable to reach me.

Does anyone have the dimensions of this headgate, and might be willing to share? A design that is clever yet simple. Beautiful. I would love to build my own - I am a dairy farmer in Borneo.
