    I would challenge that big companies manually review every resume. They are MOST likely to use an ATS because they can afford the software and need it due to the number of applicants. No individual recruiter will know every opening and be able to refer you and they wouldnt need to because by your own logic they receive tons of applicants for each posting. It would be rare a guy applying for sales manager would be highly unqualified but a great match for a completely different role. We know for a fact these conpanies automate processes by the form rejections we get. No recruiter wrote that email. They are 100% filtering to the top keyword matches and then dumping the rest in the trash.

    • @CareerShakers
      @CareerShakers 22 дні тому

      It's always good to challenge. I work for FAANG and we use the ATS to collect resumes but we don't have an automated way to reject candidates (i think Amazon got sued for that). I manually review all resumes that come in for the jobs that I post (yes, it's a lot) and honestly more than 70% of the people who apply for the jobs I post are not qualified or applied for the wrong position. Just yesterday someone who works in Nigeria as a super market cashier applied for my hardware engineering job. Yesterday there was a software engineer who applied for my hardware engineering job and I gave their resume to our software recruiting team. I wish people could read better...

    If companies want things back to normal, they themselves should go back to normal. Walmart can stop replacing cashiers with self checkout and have more people in the store helping customers and stocking shelves. They want to continue giving bare minimum but have everyone else go back to full effort.
