The story is that it had been too long since I had to visit the famous abandoned cement factory in Voreppe and I was looking for a particular weather setting to enhance the dramatic and post-apocalyptic aspect of the scenery. Here I am in the Chartreuse massif in France, during my trip passing by several of its refuges. I have always been a bit fascinated by this art of making fire in any conditions. Of course it is sometimes very complicated and it requires an excellent knowledge of the materials and the environment. But for me it is a moment of creation in the quiet and calm atmosphere of the mountains.
