Yeah that’s the Lunar Silver not Quicksilver. I’ve seen the Quicksilver next to the Lunar Silver in a Model Y and Quicksilver is a shade darker and the color is more dynamic. Would buy a Quicksilver LR or Plaid on the spot if it existed. When I buy I’m going to get a Quicksilver wrap because that color is so sharp. Unfortunately, Quicksilver is not available for the Model S. Bummer.

This car is stunning and looks like a businessman from the 80's. Bigger than a regular hatchback, and smaller than an SUV (God, I hate SUVs). And yes, it looks better in person. I'm definitely buying it 😁

My thoughts on the best combo is one EV or Hybrid and one ICE vehicle. My combo is the RAV4 Hybrid and the Dodge Challenger R/T 😉😉.

Hyundai and Posche both learned from RIMAC. Hyundai pulled it off to implement the tech reliably, efficiently, and economically to bring it to the mass. They achieved the economy of scale with the RIMAC tech. This benefits consumers in much greater number. Porsche didn't pull this off. They are a luxury performance brand. As such, they don't have the economy of scale that Hyundai has. However, the perception of top tier car brand depends on having better performance. The 5N obliterated it. All Posche has left is well-recognized design and good-smelling fancy lether. It's no longer a performance oriented luxury car brand but just a Judith brand. I call it throwing money away.

The Taycan has better quality leather, a more luxurious interior design, and a more comfortable driving feel than the 5N. If the 5N were to maintain its current advantages and have similar levels of leather, interior, and driving comfort to the Taycan, it would demand a much higher price. The 5N is a car that chooses reality over luxury. It offers more cargo space than the Taycan GTS and is much faster and more stable on the track. Hyundai is well aware that luxury car owners will avoid buying it, citing brand value as a reason. So it proved its performance and practicality. N is a practical performance brand. There's no need to be forced to be luxurious and compete in the same way as brands like Porsche.

You're the typical badge snob. When your Taycan faces off against the Ioniq 5 N on the track, it doesn't stand a chance. Not only are the lap times slower, but the durability can't compete with the Ioniq 5 N either. On the track, Porsche used to be the car that rarely lost to others. But times have changed. And don't complain about plastic-Porsche uses it too.

Car Connections : mate, you've only tried to justify them apart by your indoctrinated perception of the two brands !!!! Reality is that they are so similar in build quality and so similar in performance that you cannot differentiate them anymore....(well we all know that Hyundai has a much much higher reliability quality)....especially if you are an illiterate person in terms electrical engineering, like you are, that's why you have to start justifying the Porsche by it's reverance TIER branding and how people look at you / percieve you when they see you inside of a Porsche. That is sadly still true, the brand image thing....but the reality is that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N effectively render any EV (Teslas, Porsches, BMW-s, etc....) irrelevant because they give such high 650 HP AWD performance, such high build quality, such high reliability and such rich gadgets pack for only 65 000 bucks. That's the only reality that matters. That's why the Hyundai is one of the top 5 most successful car companies and that's why Hyundai as a car manufacturer is a real distruptor on the market.

Definitely in a difference class. Its porche and hyundai. But, people even making these videos... hyundai has come a long way. You better have that nice leather smell... Porche prolly costs twice of that hyundai.

Cool car, but it's just not priced right to me. The range is not matching the price at all, because it's only rated at 221mpge. Again, very nice car...but 50k tops for me, this is not something I'd take over the MYP even though this is a little faster. You can get a MY for less than half of the price of this car, and get TONS more range.

Do Americans really say Hyundai like that? It's Hyundai, not Hondai. Otherwise, interesting comparison for sure, not many people can do a review while owning both cars.

Having been in the motor trade for 40+ years, badge snobbery has always made me chuckle. Customers who put something like a Range Rover on a pedestal whilst looking down their nose at a Toyota Land Cruiser. I've tried to educate them over the years. Some take the advice, others pay through the nose to own their dream car and regret it....

idk but most of the actual people who bought the taycan and made a youtube video (reviewer or not) basically said, "buyer's remorse" (at least that's what I saw.) And the ioniq 5 N everybody is just happy smiling/grinning. and if they compare the two, I think they do because the ioniq 5 N gets there in performance and even in ease of use while costing half as much as the taycan? And the only thing that the taycan gives you over the Ioniq 5 N is the "luxury" factor, which not everybody even cares about when talking about performance? (also all the people talking about the ioniq 5 N is saying it is the only EV that is fun after trying out most of the EVs out there?) yes, apples to oranges kind of a comparison until porsche brings their Mission R concept to reality. the taycan is basically a sporty looking luxury sedan not really a performance car (even though it has the performance.) And even then, it would still be an apples to oranges kind of a comparison because of the different form factor (ioniq 5 n = performance SUV vs Taycan = luxury Sedan) (I5N = performance SUV vs Mission R = performance sports Coupe + luxury too) (huge price gap) maybe it would be apples to apples comparison when Hyundai motor group's Genesis brings out their performance brand Genesis Magma out and with their luxury performance coupe/sedans?

It makes you realize how big of a rip off the Taycan is... and around here a Porsche is a housewife car.. too many Macans, Cayennes, and even Taycans have diluted the brand. No wonder values are falling off a clip..

Hmm, not sure being treated diff because driving a Porsche is a good thing. Porsche brings quality to the game, but there is also a lot of brand perception going on, one cultivated very carefully so that Porsche is earning like 8x more on selling one Porsche on average, compared to a 'regular' car that costs half. Fascinating for sure. Pinnacle of a Veblen mass consumption good... In the end of the day, the 5 N was close enough but a lot roomier, and I wasn't looking forward to porsche servicing costs and insurance if buying second hand for similar money... And Porsche perception by others wouldn't help me either...

Here you are saying you shouldn’t compare the 5N to the Taycan, yet you’re comparing the two. If you get off being treated differently by others because you own a Porsche, you got deeper unresolved issues that you need to work with a psychotherapist. You seem like a Porsche apologist. And you haven’t provided any new information. Of course Porsche is better in quality given the huge price gap. No UA-cam blogger ever denied that. But they have said 5N is more fun/engaging to drive than the Taycan.

80-85% of the handling of the Taycan, which has 80-85% of the space of the 5 N. Basically Cayenne size/practicality give or take. Weight is similar. Interesting times...
