Here is an extract from the SUNDAYTIMES of July 7th. At the Dehiwela ZOO " animals are NEGLECTED with little frrdom to move. Animals appear Malnourished and in Unhygienic conditions. Visitors are put off by the Stench". CLOSE THIS HORRIBLE ZOO!

Hanthana bird park නමැති මෙම ස්ථානය නැරැඹීමට යාමට සුදුසු ස්ථානයක් නොවේ . කාලය, මුදල් පමණක් නොව ජීවිතය පවා හානි විය හැකි ස්ථනයකි. මෙහි රථ ගාලෙහි ඔවුන් විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද atv මෝටර් රථ ධාවනය කරවීමේ විනෝද අංගයක් ඇත. ඉතා අනාරක්ෂිත ය. එම මෝටර් රථ වෙනත් රථවල හෝ මිනිසුන්ගේ ගැටුනහොත් එහි වගකීම ඔවුන් විසින් නොදරයි. ඔහල කළමණාකාරිත්වය කිසිවිටක මැදිහත් නොවෙයි. එවන් අවස්ථාවලදී එහි කාර්යාලයේ සිටින කාන්තාවන් සහ සේවකයන් පැමිණ අනතුරට ලක්වූ පාර්ශවයට දොස් පවරමින් අශීලාචාර ලෙස හැසිරෙන අයුරු දැකිය හැකි විය. එවන් අවස්ථාකදී අදාළ වන නීති රෙගුලාසි පිළිබඳව ඔවුන් දැනුවත් නැත. Customer care කිසිවක් නොදන්නා ඉතා පහත් පෙලේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයකි. මෙය මා එම ස්ථානයට ගිය මොහොතේ මා විසින්ම ලද අත්දැකීමකි. ඉතා කණගාටුදායක ස්ථානයකි . අප relax වීම පිනිස ගොස් කාලය, මුදල් හා සිතේ තිබූ නිදහසද නැතිකරගෙන විශාල පාඩුවක්ද සිදුකරගෙන පැමිණියෙමු.
