I said from the beginning. Mario Cristobal is a college football recruiting coordinator, not a head coach . His decisions for an example when they kick the field goal on 4th down with most of the time-outs, plus the 2min time-out. Should of went for it on 4th down, smh

We knew the defense was going to fail miserably in a big game. SMU would've smoked the defense, and any CFP team would've hurt the program more than the loss to syracuse did. This loss was a blessing in disguise if you look at the big picture. I would rather us quietly end the season then get embarrassed by Norte Dame/Ohio St in the CFP. We were not going to win the ACC championship, and most certainly not any game in the CFP. If we had a slightly average defense it wouldve been a different story, but this defense was maybe elite high school.

Wasted season with Cam Ward. Probably the most talented QB to ever walk through the doors

Good morning Coach. If you have a minute look up the Ironman scene with Jebadiah Stane and his scientist about the arc reactor. But use Mario and Guidry. I relate it to the game somewhat. GT used plays to win. they knew we could not defend. It's not all on the defense at all because Ward was not himself. A lot of missed passes. The last play where he fumbled, GT had 3 lineman against our five and still got to him. Hopefully with 2 weeks off they can get this all straightened out. Another great show.

Too much scrambling

The loss itself was just disappointing. Defense really needs to step up. Just be good. Last, take the points anyway you can get them as our kicker is elite!

The Canes allowed GT to dictate the terms all day long. Poor execution on the fourth down plays, Cam missed Oroyo on a walk in TD. The Canes will grow from this, this L will not derail the season, the pressure to go unbeaten is off.
