Crochet and Monster Trucks?
Mo and I visit Santa Pod Raceway to give the Swamp Thing team a present. Mo designed and crocheted the plush truck herself. The team were overjoyed with it. A full day of monster truck racing and destruction followed. Fantastic fun!

Crochet catch-up. And blacksmithing?
Переглядів 37Місяць тому
It's been a busy few weeks. We went to the Valhalla Viking Festival, and the Battle of Evesham. We've demonstrated blacksmithing, spinning and weaving. Finally I've made it to the garden to share some WIP's and FO's. Enjoy 😍 @nannymoonscrochet @justvintagecrochet @swampthing4x4

Inspired by Engineering Knits and Just Vintage Crochet
Переглядів 1522 місяці тому
Having been inspired by Engineering Knits and Just Vintage Crochet, I've made my own "Bag For Knitting" from the 1890's pattern in Warden's Book Of Needlecraft. I've also created my own pattern for a cowl using tunisian crochet. And I'm following along with Nanny Moon's Crochet CAL. Email: oopscrochet@gmail.com
Visiting the Wool Boat, a duck race, and a yarn haul.
Переглядів 403 місяці тому
Mo and I visited the Wool Boat and, of course, bought some yarn. Then we went to the Appley Bridge duck race, which happened near where we're moored. The next day, I went to Mo's, and we looked at our yarn haul.

This jar cover from 1976 can be made in different colours, or with different size thread and hook. With a few more motifs it can cover larger jars, or boxes, or cans. An ideal quick and easy present.
1970's Vintage Crochet Pattern Tutorial
Переглядів 417 місяців тому
This is a vintage crochet pattern from the 1970's that I found in a shop. It's from a magazine pullout. There's no mention of which magazine or when, but judging by the price on the soap advert it's early 1970's.

The vegetable steamer fire pan
Переглядів 1632 роки тому
I bought this vegetable steamer on a recommendation from Cimbrer Bushcraft. It's ideal for containing an open fire without using a box stove. As a viking re-enactor it will make a useful alternative.

Hope you get to 100 subs soon - I laughed when you said icing on the cake because I thought icing on the donut since your donut buddies are what originally brought me here 😊

Thank you. It's lovely when the weather's dry.
Thats amazing! I didnt even know this was a thing, where about is it? Is it annual?
It was near Derby, and it was a one off celebration of 50 years of the Vikings Society. There are many re-enactment groups around the country for all centuries.
I love all 3!
Hiya! Wow three temperature blankets!! Will be cool to see how they all turn out! 🖤🧶🖤
Yes, I'm excited too.
Excited to see your progress through the year.
Thank you
How cool! I love all of your display. I especially love the pair of shears. The bench is super cool too.
Thank you ❤️
Awesome
Thank you. Please subscribe if you'd like. 🙂
Brilliant to see a new video from you! very enjoyable :) thank you
I really like it
Epic!
Thanks for this also Saga! I may need to give this a go on my canvas foraging bags!
I wonder would this work with Blackberries? 🤔🤔
@@GreenHearthHomestead it does, but the colour comes out quite grey. I'm not sure how fast the colour would be. Blackberry leaves are high in tannins which can act like a mordant. And of course the stalks make great cordage. Have fun.
this is fantastic! You have earned yourself a subscriber - the Viking Era is probably one of my current favourites to study and try and recreate in my bushcraft :) Thank you again for sharing, I enjoyed this very much!
You're welcome. I'm hoping to do more Viking bushcraft in future videos. Stay tuned. 🙂
Another great video, Thanks. I love the quiet and bird song in the background
Thank you
Love it! We don't have any ivy that have berries. Very interest
Do you mean that ivy doesn't grow where you live, or you've never seen the berries. Hedera helix (also known as common or English ivy) only gets berries when it is grown enough to develop the mature, oval shaped leaves. The tiny flowers form in autumn and the dark berries will be there late winter/spring in star shaped groups. Because they are usually high up in trees, and the berries are dark, many people don't realise they are even there. The variegated leaf ornamental ivy grown in gardens, and which is often pruned regularly, doesn't usually get anywhere big enough to get the mature leaves, let alone flowers and berries.
@@laceandbits I didn't know that. English ivy does grow here, but I've never seen the burries. Thanks
Love it
