Ca reste ma version préférée, 18 ans après !
April 2024 😀
Well I just saw my comment from 11 years ago. Yes indeed. I have now listened to this rendition thousands of times (it was my alarm music for years and played three times before I had to leave out the door). I've heard dozens of others. I've learned every single note in this like the back of my hand. I've even contributed to the community by improving the tabs available on the net. This remains to this very day my favorite performance of this piece. It's not actually perfect, I can hear it now, but it's super close and I have heard a few that are better in some ways, but I still feel it is one of the most well-rounded versions out there. I just went over the master classes with Carlo and Julia. There are differences in the approach and I can see ways it could be improved slightly even, but it is so good. The rasgueado portion, I think I like Julia's version a tiny bit better, although it is harder for me to replicate because I'm less skilled than either. But LiJie plays all the difficult bits cleaner. I also like her up stroke method for the "explosion", which she uses twice. Brilliant. Julia uses more of Carlos's improvisation tricks, so its value is also in reflecting his style even after his hands no longer cooperate as he wishes. What a privilege to have access to these resources for what I believe is the most entrsncing piece of music I have ever played. This is the *only* piece of music that can play scenes in my head when I close my eyes and just play. Thank you LiJie for introducing this piece to so many of us and thank you to Carlo as well for the mighty and masterful Koyunbaba!
This video introduced me to c# tuning. The original for me. So fucking good!
The Best Version ever!! I love it how she is playing the guitar! Warm and Clear and with passion!!!
Sure?
Extraordinary talent! Thank for bringing joy to everyone.
Watching this in 2023, and still wow by Li Jie. She is a goddess of classical guitar. Able to play such a difficult piece and remain so calm. ❤
La mejores que tocó son las de mangoré , esta chiquilla es paraguaya
Where she now?
Listening to this since i was 10 years old. Inspired me so much

In Nov 2023 still the best version on UA-cam!
I disovered Li Jie because I uded to download music from Ares more than 17 years ago. I was downloading Bach music and there was a video of BWV 1007 prelude played by her.
It’s always amazed me how those tiny little hands could do such incredible things on that instrument!!
wau, respekt! ❤🎉🎉🎉
It's a pity such a talented guitarist didn't become a leading performer in the world. She could have been one.
looking for the four angel playing carmen
I started playing and listening to classical about 5 years ago and I come back to this song and this rendition at least every other month.
Qué belleza musical y de espíritu......
+ C#- tuning...
2023, and still the best version
This piece and this performance take me somewhere else.
koyun baba kihkihkih
😭 rediscovering in 2023, still the best
April 9 ...2023
I’ve been returning to this piece for over 12 years. It still draws me nearer to the realm beyond the pale than almost any other piece of art I’ve ever encountered.
And I am enjoying it since discovering - it is pure art of music!
❤ linda interpretação, parabéns
17 years ago?!! Still the best I've heard in 2023!!
This is great, considering her age 16 years ago. But I think Meisinger's rendition is phenomenal-- ua-cam.com/video/3Luwvvz41NI/v-deo.html
this is way longer than 16 years ago, just that 16 years ago youtube was around for the first time. This was in 92 i think, she was only 12-13 something during this program
Sixteen years, just checking in.
2023...
For years this was the best version till I listened to Paulo Martelli's version. The fast parts of this piece (from 8:11) by Li seem mechanical and played robotically, certainly not enjoyable but Paulo plays them a bit slower adding meaning and soul to the piece. He even connects to the piece better than Li who seems emotionless to such a great piece. Paulo is also playing it to a live audience. Check it out - ua-cam.com/video/0cSOCFlA-5I/v-deo.html
2022 ????
4th movement looks the hardest, but those bars in the 3rd movement are no joke.
i find find my self being amazed back here once again ( she does not live in NYC !)
A boddhisattva of the guitar
Sounds like an opium induced improvised rondo
I'd love to houch a fat bowl of opium, great playing at the least, weed or opium approved, it is amazing
I can not imagine someone can play this bit better. Just incredible.
Perfect⚘⚘⚘
Absoluetly breathtaking! Best performance ever!
