Spent some time in the lab to find XF3 stuff for Trish after hearing she wasn't a good anchor. IMO every character in UMVC3 can be a good anchor if you put in the time in and outside of matches. Took me multiple years of making videos to realize that my bitrate was way too low for 1080p 😅.

The lumina mixup arms race has reached a point now where manually timed, highly ambiguous mixups are king. Good thing Akiha has plenty of them. Throw okizeme is just as important, if not more important than your standard air throw or hard knockdown oki. ok so got the timing so that the button doesn't rebeat the throw but since my anti air is 5b when I plank in grab I get back dash
but if the the delayed throw tech is blocked then your usually cancelling your anti into a button thusly destroying your confirm

all good, it can be daunting at first. Here's a link to a very helpful glossary entry that can explain things for you (glossary.infil.net/?t=Notation), but to simplify, the numbers and letters correspond to inputs

With these types of games, often players use a variety of controllers with different game console button mappings, so using a certain company's button icons in the notation may not make sense for some folks. In addition, FG controls are also often remappable, meaning what 'square' is for Player 1 could be different from Player 2's control scheme. I don't know exactly why we ended up with A B and C for 'anime game' notation, but sometimes anime FGs name their light medium and heavy attacks something weird, so A B and C is easier to say. @@sudoo6987

What does RB 2C~2B / kara 2BC mean?
RB = rapid beat, aka autocombo performing 2C plinked into B (2C~B) after the second hit of auto combo causes akiha to start the last hit of auto combo but kara cancel into 2BC, allowing her to slide forward while doing 2BC

Outstanding video and the voice over is awesome! You're helping me a lot with learning Akiha, your vids are really becoming the "place-to-go" for every step up. A question arise, though: is there an updated version of the info or some resource you keep updated with the patch? I'm finding myself puzzled if something isn't working because I'm not linking/deploying the okizeme-into-meaty at the right time, or if it's not more viable due some patch changes... where can I look or know this info? Atm I'm just willing to learn the most basic/straight forward oki for the big three situation (Throw/AT/236C), and it will be terrific to know what to actual lab without wasting time, knowing that if it isn't working I just have to stick with it and solve the problem!
The Mizuumi wiki for MBTL has the latest information the community puts together for Akiha, however there is no specific place online where I update the information presented in these videos. I try my best to notify the viewer if the tech/information in a particular video is no longer accurate after some patch is released. However as far as I know, all of these setups work in the current patch. Although the meaty ring setups are more volatile (high risk, high reward), I think with enough practice, all of these setups are 'viable'. If you are looking for a basic but effective throw oki, I would recommend the throw > whiff 5B > IAD j.B setup.
Probably a dumb question but can you just block after a clash?
no exactly 🗿; if you attempt to block after the clash, your clashing action continues into its recovery frames, which can be punished with various attacks from the opponent (depending on the startup of the move/recovery speed of your action)

What you call "fuzzy mash" (0:10) isn't actually "delayed mash"? IIRC Fuzzy Mash means to mash right after the blockstun ends to prevent pressure resets and certain slow moves (the ones that are around 20ish F of startup).

why would you put wheel behind the opponent tho? besides making yourself vulnerable to a reversal, it kinda takes away the need for the opponent to react to your wheel
to prevent the opponent from backdashing a meaty midscreen; if you meaty with 2A and input an anti-heat OS at the right timing, it will also cover reversals so that is not a big concern

yes, the fuzzy mash delay throw OS still works; typically if you are getting thrown as a counter hit, it means you inputted the OS too early, and the opponent threw your fuzzy button
