Fun having the front view. How did I miss all these videos? Lol.
I can put cameras in several places at same time. Makes for a better video. Sometimes hard to get all the angles but fun none the less!
Good progress so far.
Slow but getting there
Looks like a lot of fun
Nice
I bet your ears would be ringing after a day of that rig.
I always wear ear protection. That Detroit diesel is loud!!! Thanks for the comment!
@@sinksalot8860 👍👏
Each push, I was wondering if it would be its last. Is that a home made bucket solution?
The bucket is homemade. This machine is in need of new injectors and a new valve cover gasket. As soon as I get the head back on my Case tractor I plan on putting the injectors in Steer Crazy. Runs better than the video shows for a 1966 machine. Thanks for the comment!
Need to work on that one a bit
Yeah it needs some work but its only temporary until I get my Case tractor back together. Thanks for the comment!
Fun
Fun
That looks like fun
I prefer these kind of tires over smaller sizes. At least most of the time. This one was a lot of work!
I could definitely use that in my backyard. I got huge 3 1/2 foot diameter oak logs that are about 10 to 15 feet long that I need to move and I want to Mill up into lumber
I am setting this up as a skidder and something just to play with. Not sure yet if I will leave the original flat head Dodge engine in it but if I do change it out it will be a diesel. I built a sawmill but it seems the local forest service doesn't want to give out timber permits here so may have to find a private timber area. Thank for the comment!
Hows things going with the machine ?
not working on it currently. Life got in the way and with any luck at all I will begin again very soon. probably looking at mid August. Look for some videos then. Thanks for the comment!
That forklift was manufactured by White. It’s even got the original paint color used by White.I know the company had a model in its lineup that could lift a load up to 41 feet high. That was the White 4-116 Hi-Lift. Very impressive capability for that time period. I’m not sure if the machine in this video is a 4-116 model or not.
This is a new addition to my "fleet". lol I am hoping to get the green one going by this winter if time allows. I have an orange one (or faded red) the we are considering building a drilling machine. Could make some interesting future videos! Thanks for the comment, I will check out the specs.
I just bought a giant beast like this one myself, and was hoping you worked on it and showed a few things. LOL I don't think mine is as old, but not far off. I don't even know what make the thing is, and yours looks the closest out of all the ones I could find online.
I really wanted to get on this project but too many things got in the way. Still going to restore it but it will have to wait a little longer. Thanks for the comment and I will post more vids in the future.
@@sinksalot8860 Oh awesome, thanks for the reply, and I look forward to seeing the progress one day.
Do you still have this?
yes
Deep well!
I think your overalls have seen better days, lol. Looks like a very old battery charger. Oldie but a goodie.
yup, but still works. (Coveralls and charger)lol
Stupid snow. Glad you got some dirt moved, though.
Excellent cheers 🥂 luv it i need excavator 😊
Good luck!
What size engine and RPM is that powering your blower?
I will find out and let you know in a day or two. Thanks for the comment!
I'd like to know also. @@sinksalot8860
I think you should put your skids behind your blower ua-cam.com/video/nSg6pDSD52A/v-deo.htmlsi=UVU5d7JppbGNJTO_
Bummer on the differences.
Severely underpowered
Yes the carb needed cleaned before we tried this. Getting a good tuneup this season. Thanks for the comment!
Fun to watch - especially with 3 heelers in the vid. Would love a voiceover.
Voice next time. Yeah love the pups and the granddaughter too!
Who is the manufacturer?
Hanson Products out of Rockford, Illinois. The fella that started this company unfortunately passed away and the business closed (I think that is accurate). All the parts on this blower are available and there are many still out there in use or gathering rust in someones back yard. Thank you for the comment!
Sweet!!!
Tuning this unit up to install on my pickup and I will also use it on my Bombardier snowcat. Look for some videos coming soon! Thanks for the comment!
Love seeing this! Fancy sawzall! Or however you spell it.,,
Love that sawzall!!!! lol
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Very nice lathe
I just subbed to your channel. Looks like we have a lot in common! Thanks for the sub and the comment!
Wow, lots of views on this video - you should do more of them! This is still the cutest snow cat ever.
More coming soon, including a new body for the cat
Those are huge.
Looks so good!
Nicely done. Works like it should and it's taken a beating with those Icy conditions. It's bogging a bit , but like you said...once you clean the carb and if the snow wasn't so hard , that beast would be performing a lot better. If you tried using a blade on a truck for this job you wouldn't have a blade left or a truck for that matter. The right tool for the job. Cheers.
It's snow time here again and I am tuning it up to put on my Dodge service truck and I will use it on my Bombardier JW69 snowcat. Should be lots of fun for the winter season!! Thanks for the comment!
Dang snow.
Very cute supervisors.
Yes they are!
Much easier than a jackhammer.
I worked great! Still have some small areas I will have to use the jackhammer but Steer crazy saved the day!!!
Wow. Super scary. I could see how much the wind was blowing by watching the Aspen trees on the other side of the cabin. Yikes! But I'm SO glad it's fixed! Thank you!
It tested my nerves to be sure!
Filling your boots with snow is totally something I would have done, LOL! Also, that looked really steep and scary. Yikes!
How are things in joy your channel. But just so you and your viewer's understand I work in the nuclear industry. With that said you best want a front row seat if nuclear war ever comes the war heads are nothing compared to what follows there are 90+ nuclear power stations in the USA and 440 world wide . After a breakdown of all infrastructure around the world, fuel supply for the stand-by generation to cool will run out of fuel. Ractors will go in to melt down. The nuclear fires would burn for decades poisoning. The surface of the planet pretty much forever minimum million years. Have life the Radiation would seek deep into the Earth's crust through water table. There would be nowhere safe not even the best bunker in the world.
Thank you for the comment. While I agree the impacts of nuclear events will be bad, the cellar was built to store food and supplies. It maintains a 55 degree F. temp and works wonderfully! If things in the world go bad, then we would ALL have to deal with that scenario. I always hope for the best outcome!
Yep, good enough for now.
Very impressive - I love those big concrete blocks. How do the ones on the roof stay together (without collapsing)? I assume they have rebar in them or something? I know nothing about this subject, lol.
Several strands of rebar make them very strong. He had a 12,000 pound machine on top with no issues. Also, the collective strength of all the blocks in the roof area spreads the load.
Playing with gaussian blur? Nice propane pad!
Yeah playing with that, but it likes to follow the machine instead of a person
So glad it's saved. That was a lot of work. You and Rick look so much alike.
Thanks. I am lubing my Yanmar io15 now.. Roller s seem smooth but it's a 1994.
Ours is a 1987 I think. Good old machines. Thanks for the comment!
Wow that's not to goo
That looked painful. My arms itched just watching it. But that's a cool hat/ear muff thing you're wearing!
Yeah it made me hurt a bit. The hat I use is for timber cutting and works real good for a lot of other things too!
Looks like fun
Yeah, If this kind of activity kills me then at least I died doing the things I like to do!!! Thanks for the comment!
So much snow that last season and so grateful we caught this in time!
This winter is supposed to be a repeat or worse. Time will tell
There is no way a peaked roof can with stand a big snow load. It must be able to slide off. To do this your roof must be in two sections with a pony or pup wall separating the peak. The reason snow won't slide is because of lamination caused by day time warming. In my location it is not the snow load that causes the collapse. Even though some years we have 100 feet of snow fall, with it settling to 30 feet by the end of the winter. It is caused by rain falling on that snow load , which acts as a sponge and absorbs the weight of the water. This is like trying to support a 30 foot deep swimming pool on your roof. A split peak with an overhang on the highest section of your roof will stop the lamination effect and allow both the upper and lower roofs snow to slide. Check out the Grand Duke mine structure north of Stewart BC Canada. The old boys figured this out in the fifties. It has since been forgotten much to the dismay of another newer failed mine just slightly north of there.
Great info, Thanks for the comment!!!
Really well done and explained. I hope you were warm in there😊
Kept warm but I have replaced that camper since this video. Now I get to do this all over again! Thanks for the comment!
See the Outsider woodsman he found one it had a Ford standard tranny and it had a Iron Duke Pontiac 4 cylinder automatic he is building a log cabin in Ontario Canada a bomby
Yes, I am subscribed to his channel. These are unique machines and I plan on using this to go to my cabin this winter. Only access in winter is with snowmobile or snowcat. Thank you for the comment!
