The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), founded in 1987 comprises India’s most distinguished engineers, engineer-scientists and technologists covering the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines. INAE functions as an apex body and promotes the practice of engineering & technology and the related sciences for their application to solving problems of national importance. The Academy also provides a forum for futuristic planning for country’s development requiring engineering and technological inputs and brings together specialists from such fields as may be necessary for comprehensive solutions to the needs of the country.

Nuclear power is important from climate change perspective
I hope that Indian Govt would consider to further develop the I-PHWR design to a capacity of 900-MWe. As the PFBRs continues to get delayed its best that Indian Govt must consider to Sign a deal with Russia for for Construction & T-o-T of "BN-800 FBRs" in India by BHAVINI. At the same time the focus must be to firstly set up BARC's indigenous 900-PWR & then increase scale up the Design to a capacity of 1000 to 1500-MWe. Nuclear Energy must become contribute at least 10% of India's total Electricity production till year 2035 & up to 20% till year 2050.
We have deign and talent . We can develop our own reactor of any power we need.
