That is a good question. Short answer is they can’t. That’s why we can’t haul food grade liquids “milk etc” in tankers with baffles
Depends, if there vent ports located ontop of the baffled compartment they can stick a wand (a pipe with a wash nozzle) and give it a good wash. But hard to know if it's really clean. Depending on the product that trailer had.
Dam I currently work a Quala wash and there PPE is really mandatory, we wear green suits, hard hard, glasses with foam, gas mask, safety in quala is always the #1 priority … with good pay as well I work in the one in Los Angeles

You are only phing. You are not characterizing the unknown waste. Unknown testing is more than this.
This demonstration is made for lab-packing correctly and transporting safely to avoid chemical reaction. Unknown waste testing if necessary is done at the incineration facilities. The procedures he followed are correct under RCRA and DOT guidelines.

I worked for trimmac trucking wash rack in 2003 in Hayward CA i was 17 and our rack sucked and our manager worse. He'd send me in there after a 400° caustic rince with a 2inch scraper blase to get the film and skins off...pretty sure that's not regulation and I was wondering we didn't really have ppe so we were breathing the fumes in there....should I be worried lol I'm 35 now

Where do you dump this shit afterward? I don't see any way this waste could ever be properly managed, processed, or disposed of without creating more hazardous waste, or impacting something or somewhere else.
Idk about this company but in west Texas we have huge disposal facilities where all this stuff ends up to be processed and recycled and/or stored. Pretty much huge pits lined that resemble a landfill in a way.

Depends if our machines don’t clean it good enough. If not then tank entry is required
If customers require that the tank has to be bare metal clean especially when it was carrying latex or glue then yes, must go inside.

What quala do you work at? I reclean trailers every day from the one in Charleston and Savannah Ga. gaskets not changed, suds in the tank etc

Why get in the tank at all? Use a 2" gama jet to clean it. No entry and the tank is nearly spotless when done.
a gama jet can't inspect. If you are filling out the CSE papperwork for inspections already, you might as well clean while you're in there. Spraying almost blind with a gamma will take longer too.
