I don't understand why you guys and the guy that don't comb his hair get so wound up about safes....... If they are in the water there is nothing left inside of them cause the people who stole them got all the goodies and just need a place to dispose of the old metal carcass.

Here in Uppsala, Sweden I am practicly living on old viking grounds. 10 km away we have a viking museum that is rather famous. At least once a year they have an old viking village built up and "vikings" from Sweden, England and France participate. I think you would like that. My doughter has studied the vikinghistory and is a very good guide when we have interested guests.

To bad you didn't find any ancient items near the Castle, it was a beautiful spot! Wim as much as we like to see you jump into the water, this water looked really murky and stagnant, be careful if you do! That Viking village was awesome! Love to see skilled people at work! Lucas is surely smiling after finding that jewelry with the gold chain 😀😀. Amazing that the ladder is still there! And comes in handy every time 😀. You ate Leighs half chewed cookie 😲! It's special that the church bells warn the village that you are there. Nowadays, people don't throw away anything from slaughtered animals, think of mechanically separated meat. How nice to take people back in time like this, they are also very relaxed.
