Drying his hair!

Sister had a sheltie that went to work with her every day. She taught kindergarten. Had to stop because the kids just got too mean. Every year a little worse until she just couldn't, wouldn't do that to sweet Maggie. What a joy she was!

Longhaired dachshund. Same, but add zoomies. He goes nuts and I love it!

No way that is a Sheltie! That is a Rough Collie. Shelties have a shorter nose and are nowhere close to that size.

There are dogs, good dogs and then there are Shelties. I love them all, but especially Shelties!

All my dogs did this after their baths every last move. It's a good thing we love them so much that we hold them in higher regard than we do our furniture because otherwise we'd be having a fit.

close the bedroom door, take dog to groomers that long hair will get matted if allowed to air dry than makes harder to brush out especially undercoat.

Mine does the same but i put a towel down and he rolls on that, luckily he understands pointing and concepts such as towels without any training. Towel on floor, point at it he goes over and rolls, smart dogs for sure.

We had a beagle when i was young. We used to call his after bath shenanigans "the wall of death" as he would quite literally run across the back of the couch among other full tilt escapades 🐶🐕🐾🐾🐾🐾

that's why we need to blow dry and brush our baby after a bath!

Is this because it doesn't like moist fur or because of the scent from soap? Trying to replace the soap scent with more natural scent.

this reminds me of the first sheltie my family had, except she would wrun out her doggie door and go roll around in the dirt lol

Your sheltie reminds me so much of mine. My sheltie would do the same thing, except in the grass. He would also walk along the sides of the bed while rubbing up against it the exact same way all the time. I still miss my little guy.

For the dog, smell is identity. So, when we wash it, they feel them identities are demised. They are trying to recover them identities by rub against the smell of family bedding.

Awh I love this! My aussie does this as well, but I gotta be careful with his doublecoat. IF he does it directly after a bath he develops mats.

Oh, I just want to hug this wet wiggly dog! Neither of my Shelties wiggled like this to dry off but I miss their antics.

We are "old school" we use towels and the warm sun--OUTSIDE, when we do our Shelties.

Just like my dog, wash her behind... and its as though I've drowned her face... bless her lol

😁😁😁😁😁 OMG this reminds so damn much of my long gone Sheltie! He used to do this while snorting and growling with glee! This brought a tear to my eye remembering his post bath anticks... Another thing mine used to do, was after he received a full grooming, he damn well pranced everywhere 'cause he knew he was stylin' & profilin' and looked damn good!

Skin looks pink??? Maybe allergic to shampoo???. Had 2 that did this after shampoo..one the pink went away soon and no problem...other stayed pink and started loosing hair and scratching . Hair loss has become a problem and allergies are getting expensive..to vets every 5 weeks,, special food, special shampoo...
