I was there
Thanksfor sharing! Loved the pictures!
Inquietud ramonera como todos los mortales ... Joey se hacía el sordo para peerse a gusto 🤟🤟🤟
Saw them at 97 WLPX Young Milwaukee Night at County Stadium, Awesome !!
The Most underrated band that kicked ass!!! Loved them from the beginning and still do!!!
The Edifice in 1979 was the bomb! The Getty brothers. They opened for Gambler in 1979 at the Rialto. What ever happened to Gambler?
One of my most frg bands of 🎉
THEY WERE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was there. Off Broadway and Pez became great bands. Saw them many times.
very cool
Cool band! Great song!
High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lb overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and over time went blind
✝️❤️🌈 Love and Miss you Joey, Dee Dee, Tommy and Johnny
I really wish the signs were legible
I saw these guys open for Judas Priest at the Palladium in NYC back in 1978 and they were booed off the stage. Early Judas Priest fans were a hardcore bunch.
Apparently while opening for UK, they were booed and the lead singer got into a fight with people from the audience. It was 1978 too, in Chicago. Prog fans couldn't stand them either it seems
Ray Suste!
Times change
Sweet
we just played out to do a friday or sat night back then . we all knew we were better then that . just something to do
i have no idea why we included heart shaped box dont bring me down or steppin stone or draggin the line the line to our set .we just j used. to jam to them at rehersals
Cool video and awesome concert as always with Cheap Trick🙌🙌 I saw them in MN a week later inside tho a small club venue…almost identical playlist…fun to see the outdoor version…and if Robin needs to wear a vest cut down to there and pull his beautiful blonde hair back and we see more of his gorgeous face, I fully support that 🤗😍🔥🏁🖤
I worked at Old Chicago and was able to get in for free by just overstaying after my shift. Great concert, tho I didnt care for the folding chairs.
At Old Chicago they had a lot of metal folding chairs on the main floor. The house lights were on. People gathered for the band sitting quietly in the chairs. The moment the Ramones hit their first note there was a mad rush up to the stage with people getting all tripped up on the chairs folding like big steel mouse traps
I was at this show I remember Kevin Cronin of REO made an appearance seen many great shows at that old barn

Wow! I never heard you playing this song! Just came across this and I Absolutely Love This! ❤️🙏✨ More Power to Ya! ❤️🤗🎶
Like it!
Heartfelt. Nice job Don❤
Is this in 1978 ir 1979 let me knew
Late 79 or possibly early 80. I'll do a google search for their tour schedule
How did this not chart high enough that I could have heard of it ?????? Major label ????
I love that 97.1 chicago still plays broadway ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. Thats how I discovered these guys as a young RnR fan. “Full moon turn my head around” came on the air when I was working so I spent an hour trying to figure out what song it was. I eventually found that stations playlist history and found the song from there
That's a cool story! 🥰
I personally think that clips foice was one of the best and most recognizable voices in all of pop rock music. Masterfully crafted songs. I don't know why they didn't become as big as cheap trick or the cars. Miss u Cliff 🙏
So many drunken nights at the Great Illinois Purchase dancing to these guys with our crew..around this time.
I would see them 4 nights in a row. And they would play 3 sets of mostly original music
IM GUESSING THIS IS THE SHOW IN WEST CHICAGO THAT I WAS AT....GREAT TO FINALLY SEE THEM AGAIN AFTER THE HIATUS.... SO SAD THAT CLIFF PASSED... TRAGIC....
Great Video we were at Naperville in 2018 great show also
los ramones o los mamone porque parece le chupa a su manager el pene para cante bien como uno huevone
I had the honor of playing drums for a one-off show with Cliff years ago. We had one rehearsal before the show, after which he seemed visibly impressed with my playing and paid me one of the best compliments I've ever received as a musician, saying that I served the songs, not myself. Just recently discovered that sadly he's no longer with us....great guy and an absolutely legendary band.
I saw that tour in Denver, still have the set list autographed
The date is wrong, as The Angels didn't tour the US in 1979. This footage is actually from 26 April 1980 at the Park West, Chicago during the Face To Face tour.
Most of the footage is from B'Ginnings in Schaumburg Il. The year is incorrect
@@olddeegee Thanks for the correction
I had the album in high school but lost it, but I was fortunate to get it on CD a few years ago. It's still as fresh and alive as it was 44 years ago!
Video and audio quality are pure shit but still these are two amazing bands with great songs.
The scene with the young girls smoking pot. That's someone's grandma right now. Her grandkids might see this and they confront her with it. 😀
Thanks for posting. Non stop rock n roll is what I remember.
Thank you for Off Broadway and so many great rock and roll memories. Rest in peace Cliff
Hey Ho let's go 🤘😎
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Super 8mm sound film !!! EXCELLANTI !!!!
this was at a club in illinois called beginings....it was a great show.
Epic. These guys were one of the 1st bands I saw live. They opened up for Toto during the Hydra tour. It was at the Holiday Star Theater in Merrillville IN, which later became the Radisson. What a great memory.
