Should have preserved
I road the train around '84 or '85 (i was 5 or 6), when some of my family came down from Cleveland, Oh.
My very first job after moving to Dania in 1971 was track maintenance for this train. So glad to see the video, thanks.
40 years of trying to piece together a memory solved!!! I have a pic in front of it as a very young kid from 1980 and a vague recollection of this really intense train ride on a bridge in the forest. 😂. Nobody in the family could remember what it was called. Another gem on UA-cam.
i can still remember the whistle sound of the train. grew up in the 60s and 70s in ft. lauderdale and loved that park and especially the train. actually my favorite thing to do was to walk the tracks and it was scary to enter the tunnel and to walk on the bridge over the water. at one time when i was about 12 years old me and a friend were crossing the bridge and the train wasnt far behind, there was older kids on the far side and they were going to beat us up if we crossed while we were half way, so we were forced to jump into the water.....
Bring it back!!
That's not Tweetsie railroad
You're an idiot. It clearly states in the video title that its the CP Huntington Train that ran at Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale Beach from the 1960s through the 1980s.
I rode it as a kid. Loved the bridges.
