Desiree and Rocky's Stiltz Home Elevator
We were able to buy the house we wanted where we wanted thanks to the Stiltz elevator. I have a back injury, but the houses we loved, that were close to my work were all two floors, which my back wouldn't allow. This amazing thing made two floors possible.
A few people have asked - It takes 29 seconds to go up and 24 to go down. There are 2 remotes for it as well, instead of call buttons, so we can start it up or down as we walk to it!
Also, it looks like a transporter. Scotty, beam me up.

Second time flying an RC plane! So much fun! This is the Horizon Hobby Carbon Cub S2. I could not recommend it more.
Note that the elevator got MUCH quieter after about a month. It was expected that it would be loud as the cable stretched and trained. Also, this isn't a paid, sponsored, subsidized thing. We just love Stiltz after looking at a LOT of options. Costs can vary wildly for construction so I’d really recommend reaching out to Stiltz on pricing. I’m not comfortable posting about our costs.
Yours sounds much noisier than the literature states and the dealers who quoted us on a unit said...something did not sound correct about your installation. Prices vary by dealer...our quotes were in the $30K range for the Duo Alta with 1/2 door and seat plus $10K+ for installation. The Stiltz was the only unit we found that did not require tying in to a load bearing wall, giving you more flexibility in placement which was nice. We took a pass primarily due to the methods suggested to perform the ceiling opening...I was not comfortable with what the contractors wanted to do.
It is much MUCH quieter now. It took a couple months, but now you can’t hear it really outside of the office with the door shut. I use it at night while my wife is asleep down the hall with no issue at all. What do you mean “something didn’t sound right”?
Cast please for third floor...
Not sure I understand the comment, but if you are asking if it works for 3 floor homes, it does. I’d call Stiltz, it can vary wildly because of the construction. Not really comfortable talking about financial stuff here, sorry.
Wow, I'm wondering about the loud banging noise as the elevator got toward the top---does it still do that?
Did the noises and creeking ever stop? Just wondering.
I don't know, no one answered my initial question. But maybe you can ask the folks whose comment is below mine--The Cereal Hobbyist. I'm stuck because I live in the only state in the entire United States that will not allow lifts to be installed until a minor design change is made and to my knowledge, Stiltz has not made that change. If they did, I'd buy this in ASAP. I hope you're able to get your (our) question answered.@@rayjohnson7260
Yeah, very quiet now. We can’t hear each other using it if we aren’t in the room with it. The door latch is a little loud, but that’s about it.
How much is the cost of your lift
I’d call Stiltz, it can vary wildly because of the construction. Not really comfortable talking about financial stuff here, sorry.
Hi there, am considering this installation in my house , do you think this has any impact on House pricing etc. when in future you plan to sell it. Your view will be very helpful 🙏
Really good question. We are going with the “retire in place” mentality and don’t plan to ever move again, so we didn’t take that much into consideration. We thought of it as either a killer selling point or it would turn people off, but polarized either way!
Great , I got it installed last year. But thanks for taking out time to respond, much appreciated 👍
@@nirajshukla6941how are you liking it? Ours has been life changing!
@@TheCerealHobbyist oh 100% it's been amazing decision to go ahead with lift, reduced the daily hustle. This has also been an attraction to the house I feel as I hear from ppl visiting.
What’s a ballpark price on these?
I’d call Stiltz, it can vary wildly because of the construction. Not really comfortable talking about financial stuff here, sorry.
I'm assuming it takes a dedicated electrical circuit?
Yup, it has a 220 circuit of its very own, with a cutoff switch on the wall. It has a UPS big enough to get you to the lower level in a power outage.

What does something like that cost? Approximately?
Hi there, I'm currious what is the price for this elevator.
I’d reach out to Stiltz. With the construction costs it can vary wildly.
It's unfortunate you didn't get your pilots license and learn to fly a Real Plane.
Funny you should say that. I grew up in the right hand seat of a Cessna, my dad was a private pilot. I, unfortunately, couldn't pass the medical to get my license. Kills me!
