Thanks for documenting. I'm 29 with multiple sclerosis and considering renting a mobility scooter for my upcoming trip to Manhattan. Usually I'm fine to walk everywhere but I've had a recent bout of numbness/weakness in my legs that may not fair well with the amount of walking we'll need to do. This has made me feel a bit better about the scooter thing.

It could use a Bigger Battery ,,,at least 8 ah...

Yes it is!! I had to do it all alone. My parents had a hard time helping me. Now I am on hemo. Omg and the amount of trash is unreal on pd and the boxes ugh. I dont miss that at all. God bless and stay strong.

My dear sister Jennie just sent this to me. I'm in NJ and I relate so much to this. I fell ill 3 months after Covid in July of 2021 and our lives sound like yours now. Mine affected my digestion and hasn't stopped. Massive weight loss amongst other things. We are in this now together. Thx for sharing.

A person isn't responsible for anyone else's happiness. Everyone needs agency in their own life and the ability to pursue their own happiness. Taking someone else's happiness on yourself is about as codependent as it gets. I do think you should try to help your spouse, don't get me wrong, but making their happiness your responsibility is toxic all the way around.

I can definitely relate, a illness can change the dynamics of a marriage. But I have come to love my husband more through his unexpected illness and appreciate what he used to do and understand our new normal with his new limitations. At first I felt scared I wasn't going to be strong enough or brave enough to go through this and help my kids understand. God has been our greatest support and we stand together only by His grace.

Yes, my center calls it adequacy which is done every 3 months. I was on pd but I have to switch home hemodialysis just to avoid in center

Thank you so much for sharing. I as well am on PD. I was diagnsed in august 2020. I tell you it does take a toll on you. I questioned my existence for while and felt like God just did not care. I started to drift. But then I was like my circumstances cant dictate how great is Our God.
