George Clinton interviewed by Sophie Bramly on Yo! MTV Europe in 1988. From my old VHS-tape. I have edited out a Prince video (due to copyright claims) and a few other videos. But George's "Atomic Dog" and "Double Oh-Oh/Bulletproof" are intact.

Great insight into her singing career!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am so glad I got the straight dope from the US version. Yo MTV raps! Europe seems to stink like British rap music (which is only considered hip hop by people outside the US). Don't get salty UK, you have so much quality music that America can't compete with....just not this particular style. One of the best rappers in the world is from Wimbledon. But Slick Ric developed his lyrical skill in America.
Pardon, but what are you talking about?
❤
Wow that's so cool!
Thank you! I was young and it was fun!
God DAMN this is GOOD!
Yes, I agree!
Way before that
Yah boss .i miss you ❤❤❤❤
Rip Mr Isaac Hayes you are my favorite singer and actor on the plane ❤️❣️💋💋❣️💋❣️💋❣️💋❣️💋💋❣️❣️💋❣️💋❣️💋❣️💋💋❣️
Was there a 12"? I am a DJ from Buffalo and in '76 we got two 45s and had to mix the A and B sides together.
I'm not sure. I have the 12", but it may be a later release. After all, 12" were quite rare at the time.
Thank you! Classic jam here! ... Now we need the lead off single "Brand New Beat" off this album posted as well.
I'll fix that!
Tear that ish UP!!!
Wow this sound good! This should have been released. Thanks for the find!
Tack!

@@mmax.94 Minns inte riktigt, men nånstans i söderförort. Skarpnäck?
Do you still have the video ? I mean without the MTV logo lol
Wow, tack så mycket för uppladdning!
Hello Maria, a few years ago you've uploaded an interview with Stanley Clarke on Soul in the City (hosted by Michael Williams) from 1988, I would be very very grateful to you if you could upload it again. Thank you
Sadly, UA-cam deleted it because of copyright issues.
This is the Stone City Band when they were doing more of a funky Jazzy feel. Like this style better of Ricks music. Great Horn section
Impressive. Maria I just tried to send you an email on the address shown on your website but it came back as address unknown. Your Facebook is also closed. Where can I contact you as I have some info for you about Slave/Aurra that didn't appear in your interview. Thanks, Martin
Hi Martin. My web page is no longer updated, so the email address there is indeed not in use. But the link to my Facebook page works. I'm Maria Granditsky (Miss Funkyflyy) on Facebook.
Hi Maria thanks for quick reply. Don't have Facebook myself. Re your site, shame you're not updating it, but Starleana Heartbreaker is 1984, that's the year we received it here in the UK as shown in the Blues & Soul new release listings. You aware of the Pandamonium 12 [Steve Washington] and Starleana's work with Motivation? Just a couple things that I notice that didn't make it in your interview with Steve.
@@martinsmusic2223 yes, lots of stuff's missing. Thank you for the info. Steve W and Steve Arrington and several other from Slave/Aurra are on FB. That's the best part about Facebook: hooking up with musicians of the funk era and other enthusiasts.
It was aired on Femman in September 1995, 2nd and 26th
The Cut! From Blewfoot......
Another brill interview where Uncle's Bubba wast made to feel comfortable enough by Ronny Svensson to respond and reveal himself. Trust Uncle, if the artist for whatever subliminal or subconscious reason is 'sensing discomforting things', they wilt close up and just give one-worded or closed answers !!! That didst not happen here ... whilst Ike-ington looked only beautiful-plus-handsome in his maturity of years !!! Uncle canst now retire unto slumbber, having been made to feel good and have 'good things' to dream about !!! That bald head, baritoned beautiful beast hath won Uncle all over again !!! This man whose humble beginnings couldst have him cast for the role of Clarence Carter's 'Patches'. There are just so many parallels between Isaac and 'Patches' that only endear him unto the listener even more !!! Dear publisher 'Maria Granditsky' ... Thanks unto thee for tightening the bond between Ike and his devoted Uncle !!! THANK YE SO MUCH, BABY GIRL !!!
I am so glad you enjoyed it.
You have got that right, baby-girl !!! But Uncle couldst have enjoyed nothing hadst it not been for thine efforts !!! Said and meant sincerely !!!
@@ty7504 Ronny Svensson is a very nice guy. I've met him on some occassions. He's a film critic and a journalist here in Sweden. I actually asked his permission to upload this on UA-cam and he thought it was a cool idea and gave me his blessings.
May Ronny be blessed for those blessings of nice guy-ness and may ye also be blessed for wanting to get this good stuff out to the world !!! Certain bald-headed legends with deep voices must not be forgotten !!! THE WORLD CANNOT HANDLE THAT, DEAR MARIA !!! OR AT THE VERY LEAST, UNCLE CANNOT !!!
Wtf you talking about
Dam! I Never Heard This! Man I Love That First Album Vibe! I Bet There are A Lot Of Good Outtakes This One Is Awesome!
You can not Amgen
He should have put this on come and get it
Thanks for sharing this. I'm from Buffalo, NY which is Stone City where Rick James came from (me and my funk group chill at his grave on weekends) and I love all your videos and you taught me a lot of lost funk!
The Neon Romeoz has a style reminiscent of the Brownmark produced group Mazarati. :-)
Thanks for the Jam it brings back Memories
this whole album was my joint
Lost in Lust! Dance electric! ahhhh, where's the new album.
Excellent funk
this guy hands down is truly the greatest bassists of or time. I even think a little underrated.
Wow.. Nice interview, Stanley Clarke has a Great mind of Music..! Thx for share !
Thanks!! Glad you liked it!
