Same issue, replacing valve cover wasted $100 update?
Did you finally figure it out? I'm having the same issue: drive.google.com/file/d/1ry_jN9wDAF6-Z8k1Ji7HiXX5btkyPuwG/view?usp=drivesdk
No sure if is that your turbo is going bad, but for sure I had the same sound even when it was completely stopped.
I have the same issue all I did was lift the coil pack place screws but do not tighten all the way. I changed everything from crank seal, water pump, tensioner, belt, cover, and sparkplugs sound is coming from sparkplug hole area
Swap the vauvle cover your pcv vauvle has a small leak
Ever found out the issue?
Replace the entire valve cover and the PCV line from the intake to the turbo inlet. There are videos on it.
Rocker cover gasket is leaking. Replace it worst case change the rocker valve cover
The entire valve cover needs to be replaced.
PCV.PCV.PCV. My car had the exact same noise. I checked all the pulleys. They checked good. After I replaced the valve cover the noise was gone. The PCV valve is built into the valve cover. Part is around 50$ on line.
Si le cache culbuteur a changé
PCV 100%
It is the PCV valve more then likely. Put your finger over the hole on the black round part to top right corner of valve cover. If it stops squeaking then you will need to replace valve cover, and I would recommend a PCV bypass kit to eliminate it from happening again.
PCV Positive CRANKCASE VENTILATION. Intake manifold must be removed to replace the PCV
Pull out the oil dip stick and if the noise stops! Then change the PCV VALVE TUBE!
garbish car my girlfriend has one it’s a nightmare
Bad water pump seal
Nope.
Mine is doing the same. Probably used it 15 times.
Valve cover gasket ..make sure all the bolts are tourqed correctly
Do we tightly the bolt too
its the PCV valve every time same shit
The PCV valve leak is common and GM even update the design.
Water pump bearing.Same sounds occurs through every 1.4 turbo boosted eco
for me this was a loose spark plug. Check they are all tight again.
Did you solve this problem?
Verdict ? Water pump bearing ?
Never buy this car spec the turbo .. it is driving me insane.. but that noise was prob a loose spark plug I had that before and thought it was the belts and turbo smh but u never no with these cars
front crankshaft seal
it must be the water pump pulley ,,nothing to do with the valve cover gasket
Its just the mating call of this model
I've had them be the spark plugs and front main seal. Air getting by.
It’s your coil pack had same problem fixed it my self with new coil pack
Front crankshaft oil seal. Typical issue for this engine. Check PCV system as well.
This
It's not the front crankshaft seal, it's the PCV system. Open the oil cap while it's running, the noise will stop.
What did it end up being, i have the same sound andsame year vehicle.
Turbo
remove belt, start, just to see that its not the water pump, yeah just read comments to check if sucking, just start car and remove oil cap and just sit it back on loosely, at idle cap should just sit there sort of bouncing around making like a bobobo noise if pvc crook or gone it will pull itself on, sort of thing
Hey, mine is pulling it, does not it suppose to pull?
Crankshaft seal
Not at all !!!
Had a similar sound it was the valve cover gasket
I have the same vehicle it's a bad water pump
The same thing happens to me, in the end what was it????
I have the Buick encore 2018 same exact problem. I’m really glad you put that video out there because I was actually going to replace all the above items are just replaced. What did you find out?
Yeah man that happens looks like is the Cruise Control Servo Vacuum Line. You can check the line for any leaks that part is located under the coolant reservoir. But if tap the top of the panel and get fixed for couple seconds check the connection behind the odometer. It used to affect the door locks and fuel gauge too that's not a big deal but got to fix it
Remove belt and start the engine and let idle a bit to rule out it’s not from internal things
Run the engine with no belt?!? That’s scary asf idk why
@@Alex-R164 It’s ok to run the engine for a minute without the serpentine belt. If you don’t hear the noice then you know it’s coming from idler pully, AC cluth, aulternator, water pump etc or anything external from the engine. If noice goes away it’s a much easier thing to take care
@@miyuru07 scary but if it’s safe
Make sure your plugs are tight,
booooh
Front main seal
Not hardly and a HUGE waste of time and money.
Did you fix this speedometer problem? If you did how was it fixed? Please share.
Bro, were you ever able to fix the p2261 on your cruze? I just put in a new turbo to fix p0299 underboost and now it’s throwing the 2261…
If you haven't found an answer yet, apparently the speed sensor is located on top of the rear axle and the wiring can get dodgy. I'm having the same issue myself (intermittently) but have yet to verify if that is the problem...
Did you ever figure anything out? A friend of mine, his speedometer just recently stopped working. He replaced the speed sensor and connector and still has the same issue.
