near trois-rivières there is a little village called St-Denis, its a place you must see at least once in your life. Its at a specific spot along the St-Laurent river where its so large you have a hard time seeing the other side on cloudy days and the special thing here the river's tide, it gets so low you get to see a full kilometer of sea bed on low tide sea weeds everywhere pudles of water filled with trapped shrimps. Its the only place in the world that a child can casually catch shrimps with his bare hands. There are also some lines of poles with nets and the fisherman comes collect the fish trapped in the net with his tractor on every low tide. Thats right i said tractor not boat. And the tide gets low 4 times per day and high 4 times per day too. When going up, you can literally see the water moving up as fast as an ant that runs.

it's not the meeting of three rivers. There's a delta at the junction of St-Maurice river and St-Lawrence river, where there are two islands. When the french explorers came first, they were on their boat, on the St-Lawrence river, they thought there were three rivers, but it's three branches of the St-Maurice river diveded by two islands. and it's the 2nd oldest city, founded after Québec city, but before Montréal. otherwise, great video!
