These ladies did their thang with the remake of the Isleys classic "Footsteps in the Dark" produced by Angela Winbush herself who was with Ron Isley whose background vocals that are both on this song. The remake has quite a couple samples in the 4 key change you can hear SOS Tell me if you still care and then at the end it sounds like "Somebody I Used to Know" which she produced also by Ron Isley herself grom the 1987 Smooth Sailin album. I definitely remember the best remake since I was 10 on BETs Midnight Love.

OK by Aretha, but Gladys has the better voice for the simplicity of this beautiful song. Still, this is not the 1960s - 1970s Sparkle and before Aretha voice. Aretha's voice was just not as perfect as she aged. I am a great Aretha fan (own the majority of her recordings starting from her Columbia days) and I can admit that Aretha in 1973 is not Aretha in 1993.....
