They learned us to work for money. However they have the power to PRINT money. Thanks to nixon all Dollars, euros, pounds or yen became worthless in 1971.

Everyone over thinks this. Money is and always has been simply a ledger of who owns how many units of something. For most of time, the units were physical objects and the ledgers were purely visual ones, that did not need to be written down. People could see the number of these physical objects that other people had with their own eyes. Then we began to use written ledgers, initially of physical objects; ultimately of gold. But these written ledgers became fiat monies which are just ledgers of ledger units. That a small percentage of these fiat ledger units are made into something physical (cash) is irrelevant. Bitcoin is just another ledger of ledger units. But its immense and limitless value is due to the design, properties and characteristics of its ledger, which are what need to be thoroughly studied and understood. Then it becomes glaringly obvious that this is and will remain, the first and only ledger of value that humans have ever had that cannot be corrupted, diluted and inflated. It is THE one and only forever and immutable, worldwide ledger of value. And more and more people are realising that they had therefore better register their wealth on this ledger, before everyone else does. It's as simple as that.

Excellent conversation. When it comes to the Price of Tomorrow’s and inflation one way to break that down is that the FED/government is openly admitting they plan to steal at least 2% of your money every year. Another way to say that is they are stealing, at a minimum, 7.3 days of your life every year. Ponder what you might be able to achieve with an extra week every year. 🤔

Souch hype around Bitcoin. Good but if people don't understand why and how then it will ultimately fail. If BTC needs to be custodial (to use practically- for many low value transactions, cup of coffee, ease of use, not having technical n specialized knowledge, etc) and people don't demand full reserve banking, and don't have limits on derivative/debt stacking, insidious gov regulation , etc....then BTC becomes useless and a huge waste of energy. So far it's not looking good for BTC.

He is not completely closing his IT business though. Research Orange ID. Would love to know how Bram's world looks like for people that can't be productive, cause their chronically ill, handicapped, mentally challenged. What about people that can't add value? About the cycles: of course we still will have cycles. As long as there is FIAT we will have cycles.

How can you trust Bitcoin if we do NOT know who created it or its origin? Who is Satoshi and why do we not know their identity? I fully understand Bitcoin. However, would we install chips in our tanks, rockets, airplanes, ships computers, cars, etc if we did NOT know who manufactured the chips? THIS IS INSANE! What if Bitcoin is a Trojan Horse and the creator comes in through a back door in the future and rug-pulls the original blocks, collapsing the chain sending Bitcoin to ZERO? We know Bitcoin is open-source, but what if a back door has been hidden in the code? Not knowing the origin of Bitcoin is a US National security risk and threat to the entire global financial system? WE NEED TO FIND OUT WHO CREATED BITCOIN AND VET THEM NOW BEFORE IT BECOMES TOO BIG TO FAIL! Greed, FOMO and leverage employed by Microstrategy are driving up the price of Bitcoin with its limited float.

Always learn a lot when listening to BB. I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this earlier but I wanted to go over what MS is doing with bitcoin. Bram you mentioned (if I heard you correctly) they are “refining” fiat. How I understand it is MS is “refining” bitcoin. Bitcoin is the “crude oil” and they are refining it with their financial instruments (Stock, convertible debt, etc) like crude to gasonline/kerosene/jet fuel so that individuals/companies/institutions/insurance companies can purchase MS’s financial instruments to get exposure to bitcoin. Personally I could not buy bitcoin or an etf in my retirement account but I could by MS. Alliance couldn’t or doesn’t want pure exposure to bitcoin’s volatility but they like MS bonds (with only upside). Thanks for all your videos.

Maybe an argument for digital gold is sound, but the lightning network is still not 100% baked, so transactional ability really isn’t there. That being said, retail got it to 8k, institutional got it beyond 60k. Wall St. got it to 90k, perhaps state resources will get it to 200-300k? Lightning or something similar could bring it to $1,000,000.

Microstrategy has already split 10/1. As the price of MSTR rises, more splits are coming. It MSTR gets included into the SP500, expects the split runway to make you incredibly wealthy. The business model pivot is classic ‘something new thinking’ that is found in all TML’s. True market leaders.

I looked at MicroStrategy's (MSTR) Sept 30, 2024 10-Q. It's losing money and would be insolvent were it not for the fact Bitcoin is rising in value. As of Sept 30, its debt is $18,250 per Bitcoin owned. Since then, MSTR purchased 135K of bitcoin (last two months) explaining much of Bitcoin’s price gains. I estimate its current cost debt to Bitcoin is closer to $43K per coin. Companies that rely on asset value growth ALWAYS fail (an example is housing price growth pre-2008). Bitcoin holders should be frightened of MSTR because any weakness in Bitcoin’s price will cause MSTR to be toast. And if MSTR fails, Bitcoin’s price will crash.

As far as 'time.' We've all heard the "time is money" quote. Well, I guess money is time, too. Although none of us will probably make it into the top 1% of the wealthiest people in the US, here's an interesting statistic. Men in the top 1% of income in the US are now expected to live 14.6 *years* longer than men in the bottom 1% of income.

I believe that Bitcoin _absorbing_ much of the world's investment capital will just be a natural thing. Commodities, real estate, precious metals, etc. will always be held by many people, but why will anyone not he holding Bitcoin? BTC isn't something that's been around for just 2 or 3 years at this point. It's obviously proving itself to be the #1 place to secure one's wealth.
