Thanks for the great video brother, I just bought one! 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad it helped. Mine is still working great Appreciate you watching and commenting
Damn, I’m glad to have all the windy roads and freeways here in Cali
Yeah Florida roads eat up the centers of tires. 😁 Appreciate you watching and commenting
Good one 👍
Thanks
Another solid video, Haney. Just straight to the point with everything! We specifically produce LEDs for auto. Can we invite you to do a review for our product? We have emailed for an inquiry.
Thank you. I will review the proposal and get back to you.
I wonder if there is a plug terminator that could be used without cutting the wires? Nonetheless, thanks for the video on your procedure of doing it.
You could cut the wires on the switch side and twist them together if you want to keep the plug on the bikes wiring harness. Appreciate you watching and commenting
I just got one of these in spring of 23 and love this bike. I did change all my lights to LED’s (including tail tidy) put on a skid plate, seat concepts seat, Suzuki rear rack, mounted my Garmin Montana 700i gps, new footpegs, new shorty adjustable levers, acerbis hand guards, 30mm bar risers, double take enduro mirrors, and switched out the tires to Dunlop D606 front and rear. I still plan on 3x3, Barker exhaust, and either jd jet kit, or carb swap to a lectronic. But I will decide that over the winter. I know you posted this 3 months ago, so my reply is a bit late, but I hope you have been enjoying your DRZ.
Wow, you’ve done quite a lot to your DRZ. That’s awesome. My buildout will be a little slower on mine. Have a few things to do but been busy lately. I really enjoy the DRZ and it’s a great compliment to my MT-09SP. Appreciate you watching and commenting
hard panniers break legs and bikes, definitely go soft luggage. seat is fine offroad gets painful after about an hour on road. suzuki still make the drz400e it's just not legal in usa.
Thank you for the advice. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
awesome man
Thank you sir.
Fantastic video on straps application. I really loved how you showed us the use of those. Thank You!
You’re welcome. Glad it helped. Appreciate you watching and commenting
Thanks for tuto from Belgium 👍👍👍
You’re welcome. Appreciate you watching and commenting
I've tried a lot of different chain lubes over the years but, I find the Pro Honda HP Chain Lube + Moly is my favorite. My stock chain on the MT-09 is in great shape with 7K on it.
You've helped me quite a bit on mod's for my "21 MT-09. Just a coincidence I just picked up a 2005 DRZ400sm. I'll be watching more of your videos for mods on that bike! Thanks.
Glad my content is helpful. Congrats on the SM. Appreciate you watching and commenting
Quick question but think I know the answer. Asking anyway. 😂😂. You have to remove it every time you change the oil yeah? How much time does that add??? Thanks!
Yes. But it’s only a few bolts so maybe 1-2 mins in added time
Could you tell me by any chance what the diameter was for the link pipe ? The connecting point for the muffler.
I grabbed my calipers and too a measurement just ahead of the muffler. It’s 2 3/4 inches. Appreciate you watching and commenting
Amen AMEN
My first was a mini bike, 5 hp , That was my start
That's Awesome.
Nice Catch , how many ?
I think I got 7-8 that day,
My 04 kaw 1000 has two keys, and I feel there should only be one
100% agree
Hi did you have to remove the bracket/clip for the water pipe on the left side in the end please? Thanks
Remove the bolt form the engine case, rotate the clip down and slide it off the hose.
@haneymoto thank you mate so you dont reuse the clip?
@@joshb9821 I removed it. If you do want to reuse it you will have to modify the cover. But it seems fine without the clip
@haneymoto brilliant thank you mate yes it looks a solid enough hose anyway so probably will not use clip also. Appreciate your help mate 👍
I have a same bike same road6 same mileage and the tyres are so noisy now Not sure why
@@zh4418 me either. Mine are not noisy at all. Maybe have the balance checked or check the bearings
Many tires can not last 6k miles. Michelin Road 6 can do twice that
I expect to get 8-10k.
Would cost around $600 to line the drawers a 4x4 piece is $60
How big is your tool box? I was able to line the drawers in my 8 drawer toolbox with a single 4'x4' piece.
@@haneymoto I need 15x24 feet
wow. How big is your tool box? 15’ x 24’ is enough to cover 360 sq ft
@@haneymoto it's a big boy
@@johnnysprocketz I woudl say so if you need to cover over 300 sq ft.
Can’t see the wear indicators. Do these tires have them ?
There are some on the outer treads. Unfortunately in south FL I’ll develop a flat spot in the middle lone before wear out the sides of the tires
@@haneymoto Nothing in the centres ? My wear bars are about 1” apart from the centre. Just changed my rear out which is why I was surprised not to see any on yours. Maybe you’ve gone through those too and are close to the cord ? If so that’s not a sensible thing to do.
Look a little closer at 1:25
@@GodzillaGoesGaga I just watched the video again. At the 1:01 part fo the video to the right of my thumb, yo can see the wear bars.I have not reached them yet. Appreciate you feedback and advice.
@@haneymoto Got it! Yep, deep in the tread pattern I see them now. Thanks for showing me this.
😂
gotta buy that dude a longer ratchet hes struggling😂
Gotta learn somehow 😂
I hope he pees on your door handles 😂 It is kinda nice when you get to do slightly less work
don’t u get bored
😂
Damn.
Looks like fun
@@larry68hd11 it was a heck of a good time .
Be. Safe😮😮
@@larry68hd11 yes sir.
Great tyres BUT they're puncture magnets
Really, knock on wood I haven’t had any issues
@@haneymoto I had three punctures in one day ! Shame because I loved the tyres
@@SeanieVoiceOverwow. Were they caused by road debris?
@@haneymoto Yes ! The front tyre flips sharp objects for the rear tyre to catch, the wide sipes leave large areas of soft vulnerable rubber! A lot of my friends who ride love these tyres too but have had multiple punctures, screws, nails, flint shards etc they’re magnets for sharp things
Whilst I'm an absolute fan of Michelin World Tours on my bicycle, I've found Metzeler tyres seem to offer a better cost vs performance benefit. I use their FeelFree tyres, 120/70 R15 front, 160/60 R15 rear.
I’m glad the Metzeler tires work for your application. Appreciate you watching and commenting
Metz are great tires but damn I found that they wear fast. Typ 3k and I’m done! Maybe the newer compounds are different ?
@@GodzillaGoesGaga I'm easily getting 6k from the rear tyre alone. Mind you I'm riding a Super Scooter (Kymco AK 550), mainly as a work commuter, so this might explain things! Most of my mileage is on sub-80k local roads, usually in medium traffic.
@@phils4634 AFAIK, Scooters have a different loading and don’t shred tyres like heavier motorcycles. This is maybe why you get better life.
That was a fun day! But I really like to do next time we go is session certain sections of the trails, or the roller coaster do it five or six times in a row or whatever trail it is that we like in that way you get a little more dialed in, also let you feel if you need to change the settings on your suspension for a particular obstacle or not.
Agreed. Repeating the same paths will definitely help a lot. Like you suggested start the day with the roller coaster when I I’m fresh. Then move to something easier like the trails
@@haneymoto we can session certain parts of the trails , tracks that we want to get better on or feel more confident. On of the hardest things about trail riding is a lack of repetition on the course. A place like Bone valley really lends itself to be able to work certain sections over and over without being in the way of everyone else.... Especially those kids on the '60cc bikes s lol
@@ericveal6681 Those little bastrds out ride every day of the week and twice on Sunday. 🤣 I'd also like to get your expert instruction on wheelies and catching a little air with the DRZ.
@@haneymoto We can definitely work on that!
i need to go!!
You’re always welcome to tag along
🤘🤘🤘
🤘😈🤘
So jealous. Haven’t been trail riding in a while.
Juice, Bone Valley is only 40 mins from Forgotten Angles. Bring the KTM down and we'll go.
That looks so good with the gold wheels! Did you change them out or have the blue ones redone?
They are powder-coated. LS Powder Coating in West Palm deserves all the credit. ua-cam.com/video/9OwZHHOCwAo/v-deo.htmlsi=iPmQCEt9nyBZNv6z
@@haneymoto how much was the powder coating?
@@zh4418 300
Hey Josh!!!! It's been a while since I've checked in. Busy with work, phone issues, life.... blah blah blah.... 😂😂😂 Anyway, hope all is well. Glad to see you're still making content!!!
Appreciate that. I'm still having fun making videos. Next set of videos will be riding Bone Valley ATV park in Polk County FL. First time riding dirt in 25 years.
Do you even turn? 😂
Not in south FL. 😂
What tyre pressure are you running
I run 36 psi front and 42 psi rear.
I opted for Dunlop Mutant tires on my Suzuki B-King and managed to get around 10,000 Mi out of them. However, I did experience a flat tire, likely because I frequently used my bike for commuting on the freeway., maybe I will try the Road 6.
You won't be disapointed. They are a great tire. Appreciate you watching and commenting
My dream moto. Don't sell in greece fck Euro 5
That sucks. Move to the US. We don’t give a shit about the environment 😂
Question about your mMT09 Motorcycle, how do you find the brakes, and can you compare them to other bikes such as the KTM duke?
I have no issues with the brakes. Bike stops well for me. Not much to compare it to though
@@haneymotojournalists always complain about the brakes and stuff but really these new Yamahas are fine. They just need to make their word count and they’re not top tier in braking so they say it. Doesn’t mean they’re in anyway bad though.
@samboles3670. I own a 2022 MT09SP. Upgraded to a reputable brand stainless/braided brake line and sintered brake pads front and rear, a 100 percent upgrade. Ridden about 4K miles with this setup and notice no difference in the upgraded brakes versus the stock brakes. I am sure the parts that were installed are top notch, but I do not notice the improvement. This upgrade was roughly $600. As they say YMMV if you go this route. I had the Road 6 tires installed on the MT09 at 6,200 miles, the Battlax had a significant flat spot down the middle of the rear tire and cord was showing. Not a single burnout, etc on the rear tire. Am now at 14,400 miles on the MT09 and they do show a bit of wear, but guessing good for another 3K miles or more. The tires were a better upgrade than the brakes, by far. Now just need to upgrade the stock exhaust! Love the CP3 engine!
The modification you suggested of securing those straps under the seat is great. I did this on my MT and it's been working great. Thank you.
Glad it work for you. It really makes it easy to tuck the straps away when you’re not using the bag. Appreciate you watching and commenting
Woah, ditch those death wings...er, trail wings for some proper rubber and off road will be way better.
@@TommyNitro yeah they need to go. I just got it and it’s only got 350 miles on it.
@@haneymoto Great bike. New tires changed my DR.
It’ll hold a lot more dirt than that 🤙 nice bike 👍
@@sicsempertyrannis4104 Yes it will. By the ned of the day you couldn't see my sticker on the swingarm. LOL
Thanks for sharing. I'm currently run the o.e. Michelin Road 5s on my Trident which I ride pretty hard through my local twisties in New Zealand. I'm very happy with the Road 5s but reckon I'll go for the Road 6s when time to change. Cheers 👍
You’re welcome. You won’t be disappointed with the Road 6 Appreciate you watching and commenting
