Texas wild rice is only found in the San Marcos River and has been on the endangered species list since 1978. The San Marcos River comes out of the ground at a constant 70 deg, which enables this rare plant to grow even in winter.

Full drone video from the 60th Texas Water Safari. The TWS is a non-stop, 260 mile ultramarathon canoe/kayak race starting in San Marcos, Texas and finishing in Seadrift. It's held every year on the 2nd Saturday in June.

Aka "The Prelim", the TRM is a ~35-mile race to determine starting positions for the Texas Water Safari (the 260-mile race from San Marcos to Seadrift that happens on the 2nd Saturday in June). The TRM starts in Cuero and finishes in Victoria, Texas. Congratulations to all those who raced.
