Malcolm clockwork orange mcdowell he ruled this movie for sure thanks malcolm.
Long live to little Alex ⏰🍊💉👸🐍👩🎼
I feel sorry for the villains in Forensic files with all their ultra violence. It's hard to feel any empathy for the main character of this film. In fact I'm only here because I was watching Hard Days Night thinking how rude these Beatles are to their elders. They weren't that bad. Something clicked. The Fab Four and the four droogs. I thought I wonder if Anthony Burgess may have been inspired by A Hard Days Night. And looking back on Hard Days Night I'm wondering if the attitude of the Beatles was tainted by my seeing A Clockwork Orange. In Fact the titles are similar to each other. I mean they both start with A. They are both a bit clever and obscure. I think they are both oxymoronic. The only thing bad about it. While I don't feel empathy for the main character. The outfits they wear and the as silly as they may be are sort of cool. The main character is very interesting and clever. So while you don't feel empathy at all, there is sort of an admiration for his total lack of restraint. It's that same sort of "frat boy" behavior. I don't know that there's a word for it. He's the sort of guy who might be able to get two girls to come back to his room. And that sort of admiration could be dangerous. 2001 panders to the emotions and senses with special effects. However A Clockwork Orange panders with a much lower budget.
31:10 I THINK , " MINI LUCKY MAN " WOULD HAVE BEEN A BIT BETTER
crazy how edited to shit the Friday the 13th films were, people freaking out about Clockwork Orange. today we have Human Centipede, Serbian Tale, Story, whatever the F that disgusting film is called. crazy how normalized extreme gore and violence has become. to each their own, but back in the day 'violent' films don't hold a candle to the smut they make today. like Tipper Gores crusade against Twisted Sister. now we have gangsta rap. wonder what she makes of that?
Clockwork Orange started the seventies. "O Lucky Man" WAS the seventies.
Me and my mate saw A Clockwork Orange when we were 11. The cinema was in the West End. I can't remember what it was called but it was one of the first multiscreen venues in London. The ticket lady asked, "Are you 18 ?" To which I said "Ye.. (high voice goes one octave lower) yes." She rolled her eyes and sold us tickets. God knows how we got away with it. We were so obviously kids. It was a mind-blowing experience. I emerged from the cinema loving Henry Purcell, Ludwig Van and Rossini's La Gazza Ladra. The old casino punch up between the Droogs and the Angels was pure ballet. Swan Lake, with knuckle dusters and chains, all set to Rossini. Kubrick was a genius.
Years later, in Music general studies, the music master, a Jewish guy, asked me, "Where did you develop your love of classical music ?" I answered, "I saw Clockwork Orange when I was eleven."
Sorry to be shallow, but the Mrs Kubricks were/are very pretty 😅
Malcolm McDowell is my all-time favorite actor! This was a very enjoyable series of interviews, insights and scene selections. Very well arranged. Thank you for this incredible video!! 🩵🩵🩵🩵
Kubrick made a masterful movie, but don't forget he made it from a novel that as even more violent. And another commenter pointed out the violence in the novel/movie stems from violence in the world; not the other way around.
Far and away the best example of what is meant by "commitment" on the part of a cast. Not just McDowell, but most of the supporting actors just crushed it. Kubrick has a notable ability to get the most out of his performers, but he outdid himself with this piece.
One death threat and they left the country... in the middle of the night... under assumed names. Wow. I'm guessing Kubrick wouldn't have enjoyed living in the age of social media. Every time he'd go online it would be "Whoop! Time to flee the country again!"
I was just scanning around the net when I came across this. I now know I am a fanboy of MM. I could not stop watching this fascinating film about his life and times in film. He is a truly brilliant actor IMHO.

I've watched The Exorcist plenty of times and have never vomited green pea soup on a priest...I've also never mastibated with a crucifi........no wait.....
I've cut back on the ol' Milako Plus
Their is white suits and bowler hats. How dumb do you have to be 😂😂😂
Sammy
malcolm best super artist
Malcolm's rebellious character Mick in If (a memorable 1968 film which continues to inspire numerous copycat crimes in the USA) apparently decided SK on MM.

This movie is in my top 10 favorite movies! Awesome film! Honestly I watched it many times and had to figure out alot of what was being said! And I know it's not the same caliper of movie but I see the inspiration of the movie Bronson with Tom Hardy which is another badass movie in my opinion!
Vidi this L E G E N D
Didn’t make ME do it!
BAD PEOPLE
Been a bit obsessed with this film since I was at school, 48 now. Had it on fuzzy VHS video through a dodgy dealer. Only recently saw the stills from the cut scenes. Really fascinating. Kubrick burned the unused footage so all we can see are a handful of stills. I'd like to know more about those scenes that were cut or abandoned. Btw , "If..." is also an all time fave
if they remade it today it would be an exploration of ultra microaggressions
❤❤❤
I Genuinely Love This Man. Righty Right Right
Hi 2b its me your klaysmeyt, wag mona etong panoorin
Now they really are as queer as Clockwork Oranges.
Oh Lucky Bastard! And repeat. Since 1968.
This is an interesting documentary of;Malcolm McDowell!Thank you for posting this film!It sort of;”made my day!”Documentarie’s are a breath of fresh air in a;”dull 🌎 world!’
I read the book;A clockwork Orange 🍊 before I saw the movie.(by;Anthony Burgess,of course!]in High School.I think,it was:a very strange film!But,I’d never resort to the:”weirdness of it!’This would be wrong to do…..of course!😮😮😮😮😮😮
My son’s mum was Richard Benjamin’s Personal Assistant during the on location (Cincinnati and across the river in Kentucky) shoot for Milk Money late 1993. She was pregnant and I was on a break from Uni., so flew over from L.A. just to make her life easier. Having so much downtime gave me the opportunity to hang out with Malcolm during the couple weeks he was on set. As interesting a person as one would expect given his reputation and his stories are legendary. The only subject he refused to discuss was Caligula, which is understandable. I’ve met hundreds of “celebrities” over the decades and he was really the only one I was over the moon to get to know. Same movie, Ed Harris was terrific, also.
I vouched for Evan Peters for the reboot of this film
Should've played the riddler.
Just watched this movie for the first time this week. Rewatched it 3 times already. Incredible film
59:30 Saving this timestamp for later
They should reboot this film!
I would agree but it wouldn’t be as good as like gory brutal R8Pe scenes
@@EditedByMaccagory brutal r8pe scenes are the best
Is this the 'O Lucky Malcolm' to be found as an extra in the O Lucky Man DVD set? The cafe scene (from If ....) with Noonan is something else. Encapsulates the young actor in his prime. As years go by I tend to watch the Anderson fiims, If .... & O Lucky Man, more than Clockwork. They seem to hold up better as dystopian warnings. But Young Alex is truly of a Shakespearean hue!
It's in my copy of A Clockwork Orange.
@@AVB91 okay, thanks!
No no no!, Lucky Us! Lucky those movies for to have Mr. Malcolm McDowell!!! 👋👋👋👋👋
Don't ban things... encourage critical thinking. Sorry, Kubrick, about us taking so long
No kind of remake of Clockwork Orange would work. Reading the book is recommended
Malcolm Mcdowell was cute when he was young.
Um, what? He's gorgeous in his late 80's!! 😍
This documentary is obnoxious and pretentious. If you want a better summary of the controversies around the film read the portion on it from John Baxter's Kubrick biography.
Time After Time, Blue Thunder, and A Clockwork Orange were my favorite MM films when I was younger. I don't think this amazing actor ever stopped working.
He was pretty good as the Soho Porn Baron in "Our Friends in the North". The porn baron's put upon employee and nightclub bouncer Geordie, was played by a young relatively unknown actor called Daniel Craig.
Absolutely Malcolm! That's your movie brother!
The only one who be able to get away with a remake today would be Quentin Tarantino. Except he never has any moral/societal message in his film, it’s just her gets away with so much violence.
This was an awesome movie although I didn't enjoy the heinous crimes that were committed nonetheless it was a wonderful work of art and I'd choose anything Kubrick or Scorsese over Fast and Furious any day
The crimes were my favourite bit.
