Can spiritual warfare cause a lot of health problems in an individual?
There is spiritual warfare happening daily all around us. Because the enemy is not all knowing and cannot be everywhere at the same time as the Holy Spirit can, we can sometimes be unaware of it and not affected in certain ways by it. But, Peter gives us this admonishment: ”Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.“ I Peter 5:8 NKJV We are always to remain alert, focused, and disciplined in our walk as a Believer; through prayer, worship, fasting and study of the word. Because the devil is walking around looking for open doors in people's lives that he might steal, kill and destroy (John 10:9-10) of which health problems would fall under that category! As a Believer by default I become a target of the devil, and his demons because I have declared that I want to live for Jesus Christ. The way we close doors and access to our lives is through repentance of known and unknown sins as well as any demonic covenant we have knowingly or unknowingly entered into (that may have given access to a sprit of infirmity in my life) I must be obedient to the word of God(Bible) and the Holy Spirit. I must have a consistent and vibrant prayer life. I must not practice sin, and when I do sin against the Lord I must repent quickly. Righteousness and Holiness must be a primary focus of my life! With all of that said, yes there is a possibility of health challenges coming from the enemies war against us... A couple more passages of scripture: Job 2:1-7 Luke 13:10-16
