Cu silver nitrate

A double replacement reaction between potassium iodide and lead(II) nitrate which yields a yellow lead(II) iodide precipitate and potassium nitrate.

Being a strong oxidizing agent, potassium permanganate oxidizes Al to Al3 as the Mn7 ion (purple) is reduced to the Mn6 ion (green). This reaction is very exothermic and melts the metal reaction vessel.

Magnesium reduces the pinkish purple Mn7 ion in potassium permanganate to the green Mn6 in the form of "green" smoke. I did this reaction back in SA with very fine Mg powder: ua-cam.com/video/h9ESP0DFr3s/v-deo.html

Concentrated nitric acid reacts with copper to form NO gas which immediately reacts with oxygen in the air to form brown nitrogen dioxide gas. Collecting this gas sets up an equilibrium between nitrogen dioxide gas and colorless dinitrogen tetroxide gas.
