Oof this song! I write a lot of stories and I constantly find inspiration in songs and this one I definitely want to be one of them! I feel like this kid is accepting the pain because he knows that later the person beating him up WILL suffer. Not only that, but I think he understands what's going on in his home and instead of getting angry at him, he's letting him do it, hence the sentence "Well, there's no excuse for the things he did, but there's a lot at home that he's dealin' with" because he feels helpless and just needs to feel like he can control something. And this boy is rooting for him, "I hope one day that he'll say to him, put down those bubbles and that belt buckle" I don't think people realize we listen to stories every day. Seriously, this is amazing!

I’ve never been in a bubble I’ve always just been that one kid everyone likes and I’m really good at making friends and stuff but in between the ages of 9-11 I pushed everyone away because of my parents and their fighting so I spent a few years in a bubble but then when I was 12 I started to be myself again and I forgot how much fun it was to have so many different friends with different tastes like I have a friend group that likes anime I have a friend in 4th period that likes to tell me all the drama that’s going on with the popular girls and another friend that I skip class with on occasions and a group of depressed friends and so on and it’s fun to not do the same things with the same people everyday and I kinda forgot that because of what I was going through but now I’m all good again and I’m moving in with my mom who doesn’t live in the same state as my dad and that means I’ll have to make new friends and I still talk to my old friends and stuff but I’m supposed to move all my stuff up here which I was never one to like people talking about emotions so it’s gonna be great when I have to sit down with my dad and talk to him about this whole situation and stuff but yea we’ve definitely gotten off subject here✋🏼😃
