The comments about Daddy's Home are a bit weird, I mean, you DO realise it's a concept album right? I agree with most of your takes on All Born Screaming, although I think you need to listen to Violent Times a bit more - she has this thing of taking something familiar and then altering it a bit in a subversive or unsettling way with a melodic or tonal shift, and she really lets loose on the vocals as she rarely does.

It’s funny you say you just took the album at surface level. What’s the point of even reviewing the album then? PS. Songs like Trouble are meant to be Slim Shady using cancel culture as a tool to get Eminem cancelled (since Em is trying to bury his past self in this album). The references therefore are old, symbolizing that Slim is stuck in the past.

Yeah he wasn't being anti-woke in this album. He was making fun of anti-wokeness, but a lot of people took it surface level because he didnt execute it well, unfortunately. Eminem is prettty damn woke himself. And I'm all for woke Marshall. He sounded like a cringe conservative boomer at times on this album and it's just like "ehhhh wtf are you doing?". Musically this is one of his best sounding album in years but the cringey parts ruined it for me. I do like the song "Evil" though because it was more about how Slim Shady is a psychopath who is wired differently than other people. It gave me Relapse vibes but without the accents. Probably one of the few songs I can actually listen to on repeat on this album. Is the chorus kinds cringey? Sure, but the horrorcore element feels euphoric at the same time, but i love criminal psychology and anything that has to do with psychopathy.
