I think of the Shivan fleet in FS1 to be like Subotai's army in the middle east, Caucasus and Russia: a reconnaissance in force. Even for all they managed to do against the Terrans and Vasuvians, they were just testing the waters.

@Spazzosity mmmm no idea i just ran fraps in MW4 mercs and played around with it for 5 min seem to work fine for me i am using a older version.....Might try going to the fraps web site look in support or contact them about it...Sorry i have no idea why it not working for you....

everytime i start to record with fraps on mechwarrior 4 vengeance and mercs the game crashes on me

Even with a cheap camera you can improve the look the video a LOT with some cheap 'found around the house lighting' like a desk/table lamp, using white cardboard to reflect, it's a minimal investment and make your future youtube indoor vids a lot easier to see.

@edkwon I used some cheap Digital camera If i do anther review of some sort ill see if i can improve things. It better then my Cell Phone LOL not by much. The Camera i got work pretty good out door but not very good indoors guess that what you get when you buy cheap.

Thanks for the review, what do you use for your video recording, your lens really needs a macro mode badly, everything you're filming up close is very out of focus, also use an external lamp to illuminate the subject better, video is too dark

There was also a lack of depth and character: No names *whatsoever* are given, like THEY are the hive-minds and not the Shivans. Surely there would be some kind of hierarchy in the 'Ancients' pantheon, don't you think? Not to mention names given to their young. As mods go, this one needs to be re-done with better FREDing and writing. It was rather dull in my opinion. Music was okay. Then again it was all taken from Sword of the Stars so they get no credit there either.

@crazy88bossLOLthere plenty of Sci Fi out there that have inconsistencies look at Star Trek and Star Gate. manly star trek. Theres a theory that the first fleet in FS1 was just a scout fleet... or a fleet discounted from the rest of the shivans... I vote more on Discounted that would explain the fleet that was in FS1. Anyways Like anything there always someone that not going to like something that other people like. LikeCoD it big hit allot people like that game i think boring and waste of money

@Dredhawk10 I understand the Ancients' POV, but I think most people notice poor grammar. I have to disagree: I think the mod was done by English speakers. If I remember correctly, the introduction has Vasudan backgraound voices and English 'translations' overlapping so no, they were English. I also don't like the background details; if the Shivans had Moloch-class corvettes 8000 years ago then why in the world wouldn't they have used them in The Great War? Too many inconsistencies, friend.

@crazy88boss Well for one thing it from the Ancients point view you expect them to know English lol. I dont pay mind to stuff like that my Grammar not good nether is my sentience structure. Ithink the people that made the Mod were Russian or German or something im not sure so that would explain the Grammar errors. Offer all i thot i was good the alone problem i have i wish they wound finish it.

Really don't like this mod. Technically it's spectacular, especially the end mission with the galaxy in the background. The writing, on the other hand, is dreadful. At one point your wingmen are referred to as "battle brothers and sisters". -.-' I also counted numerous grammar errors and, while they might seem trivial, they are not something you should see in a polished FS Open campaign. It's just sloppy.

Thanks so much for the video! Really brings back memories of this great game. Such an immersive and underrated game.

I did not make the mod??????? I just download and play them. If you wont to contact the people who made the mod try there site. i have a link on the vid description or try looking on Hard Light Production Forum and site. Im not trying to make anyone angry but you could try looking your self and if you cant finger it out ask for help. I do that all the time. I look for the anwers my self my searching forum google.

@shadowsniperx94 Sorry ran out of space. The B5 Mod doesn't need FS open it run it own version of FS open. unless they change that within the lasted year. anyways glad i could help.

@shadowsniperx94 There quit few FS open mods that dont have voices. some of them like Derelict, or Blue Planet dint have voice when they were released. Derelict had no Voice acting for severly years. You got relies these groups of people do this for fun in there free time. and the mod arnt made bye the same people Voice acting takes more then one person unless you wont all your charters sounding the same there also the The Babylon Project B5 mod.i think there WIng Commander mod to.out of space

@YongyoonKim no telling when MWLL will get done they just released Mechwarrior : Living Legends Open Beta 0.4.3 since this is a fan made type mod no telling. Fan made mod tend to take longer manly because these people are doing this in the spare time not getting paid.

@desantify I was just playing around with MWLL. i noob rush because i get board hang around i do the same thing in MW4 Mercs. i really dont plan on playing MWLL much until there done with it. i think in the next up date you have to have Crysis wars or something im not sure. i never bothered to get that i probably wont until there done with MWLL.

I would gotten a ReZEL HG Model Kit to but Gundam Store and more sold out.

The Shinanju pretty cool. the only problem i had was with the hands i cut the finger a part so they dont hold the beam rifle quit right. i sure it would if i dint cut the finger. im wating for MG 1/100 Shin Musha Gundam MK2 come out the first one was pretty cool
