I actually never heard the remix version until a few days ago and I still like the original better. I grew up watching DBZ since I was like 5 and I'm 20 now, still literally never heard the remix before. When I did hear it some days ago in a random DBZ short I was like "Okay... that's new." Had no idea it was such an old remix. Don't see how so many mistook it for the original anyways. Which version of the anime even plays it? I don't ever recall hearing many remixes of songs in the anime, especially none that sound like that weird electro-rock or whatever genre that remix is.

Iconic DBZ Soundtrack Remix Ambience Indeed...🎶☯️🎶 In my eyes Cell it's one of the best Villans of the DBZ Series, and he's my personal favourite Villan. Cell was arguably the Z-Warrior's most difficult opponent and not just because he was strong but also because he was strategic (a rare trait for a Dragon Ball villain). He has the cells of all the Z-Warriors and their enemies (most predominantly Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Frieza) which he can use to his advantage both in fighting abilities and psychologically. Previous and following villains were quickly surpassed in the arcs that succeeded them but in the Majin Buu Saga no one matched let alone surpassed Cell till Majin Buu himself came. He even not only made Goku give up but is the only villain to successfully kill him. Cell is easily one of the more iconic Dragon Ball villains and his influence reflects that. Despite bein alive for only a couple years he led way for the Saiyans to surpass the SSJ wall and allowed Piccolo to become one with Kami. His defeat also allowed Mr. Satan to go from world champion to world's savior who later went from one-note gag to a greedy yet decent goofball (legit) hero. Dragon Ball is often perceived as super simplistic never taking any risks with it's story and characters but Cell is a surprisingly complex character. As already mentioned, he has the cells of all the Z-Warriors and as such he shows numerous personality traits of them such as Vegeta's ego, Piccolo's cunning, Frieza's faux politeness (without the sarcasm), Daimao's sadism, and the Saiyan's lust for a challenge. This also ends up being his downfall as he makes the same mistakes he criticized the Z-Warriors for making. ☯️✌️

I like to think as soon as Cell achieved perfection his body just started radiating this theme

Okay. The Linkin Park/ Fort Minor track refered to is 100% from the artist Handsome Boy Modeling School 2004 album White People. He is correct about the track name being Rock and Roll (Could Never Hip Hop Like This) Part 2 Knockers" (featuring Lord Finesse, Linkin Park, Rahzel, Qbert, Grand Wizard Theodore, Jazzy Jay, and Tim Meadows). Mike's verse was sampled and mashed with the fan remix of Cell's theme. I believe the artist for the remix has come forward.

It's absolutely insane to think that the dude who made the remix is probably in his mid 30s or early 40s now and has not ONCE stepped up and cleared the air. Everybody talks about how Gotye made a great song and just disappeared, but whoever made this remix did it first. Crazy.

On the day of Akira Toriyama's death, YT recommends this video. Listened to that remix plenty of times, and I remember thinking "damn, quite a badass theme for DBZ", but never thought to look much into it. Great video dude, always nice seeing YT recommending small channel's videos, when they're interesting. I have a weakness for 2000's internet lost medias, rabbit holes, rumors etc... It's such a shame the tons of forums of anime, videogames and more are for the majority lost in times. They were such a big part of internet for us, back then. But nice that thys mistery got solved!

The first time I heard the cell theme was when I was playing Teen Titans Battlegrounds on Roblox. The first dragon ball eppisode I watched was the eppisode where cell exploded himself. I thought that he was becoming very powerful by getting fat. The cell saga is also my favorite saga in dragon ball z.
