    How is the ventilation during the rain? That's the main thing holding me back from ordering the tent, there doesn't seem to be much ventilation with everything zipped up.

      Honestly it’s not bad because it does have some low and high vents that allow for some air flow when closed up.

      We went through an awful storm on the top of Loft Mountain in the Shenandoah Mountain with 30-40 mph winds. The only water was the front area and that’s due to proper set up with staking. Other than that it’s great!

    • @compassconundrum7095
      @compassconundrum7095 2 роки тому

      We hiked early June 2022. The weather was fantastic and the hikes were surprisingly pretty low key. Even Old Rag Mountain was not crowded. Keep in mind we are from Florida so hiking in low 70 degree weather is perfect where VA people may think it’s too hot. We also hiked during the week days, which probably helped with crowd control.

      @@PFAM5 so here’s what we did. We were sitting around at Christmas/New Years after a day of letterboxing in NC. And we just decided “hey let’s go visit this National Park”. We were getting tired of dreaming about it, so we just set a general timeframe and each month we dialed things in like dates, where we were going to stay. We even had some flexibility built into the schedule. Now we decided to do 10 days, but even if it’s 3 days, just set the dates and go for it. Just remember you are making memories with your family that will last a lifetime.
