GO AND GET IT (1920) clip

Long thought lost, GO AND GET IT (1920) is extant and housed in the Cineteca Nazionale Italiana. Restoration is by Cineteca Milano. The clip shows pro wrestler Bull Montana as Ferry, the ape with a criminal’s brain implanted in its cranium. GO AND GET IT was a newspaper adventure yarn with a distinct horror angle and was something of a sensation upon its release.

The Host and Rodney the Rebel Rapper

In the 1990s Tom Leahy reprised his role as The Host for a third time. In this episode, he encounters a rebellious Rodney grooving to some old school rap. This episode is an updated version of a Nightmare episode broadcast almost 35 years earlier (and which can be found among my other Nightmare uploads; look for The Host and Rodney the Rebel). Lee Parsons played Rodney in the late 1950s. Jim He...

That’s the song from spooky spooky skeleton
Rayos y yo que me quejaba steven seagal. 😂
She's probably best, if not only, remembered for this song which gets played every year at Halloween.
Party time😅🎉
LOL! hat is hilarious. I noticed at the end, the guy is whistling the "Yellow Submarine" song.
Nice catch! I completely missed that. I knew he was whistling something, but didn’t pay it any attention.
@@garyp11111 I know. A creature from the water and song about a thing that can travel exclusively underwater.
Makes exactly as much sense as the fat kid in Monster Squad killing him with a shotgun
What a great memory - thanks for posting!
the Ford Pinto monster commercial was cancelled because it exploded on the way to the set
Commercial Maker (to Auto Dealer): "I got a great idea! We'll have a monster destroy one of your cars in our commerical!" Auto Dealer: "Hmmmm....yeah, let's do it!"
Same ape-man from Lost World (1925).
Made in Wichita Kansas
This is pretty cool!! 🦇🖤 I’ve just subscribed to your channel! Hope to see more spooky videos from you this halloween season.
No wonder this creeped me out as a kid!
Is this movie going to be shared to public?
I don’t know. I sure hope someone releases it on Blu-Ray. GO AND GET IT has been made available to film festivals; it played in the UK early in 2023. The Cineteca Milano does upload many films to their website. Some are free to view, some require a small fee. If you’re not a resident of Italy or perhaps the EU you might need to install a VPN on your system and select a server in Italy before being able to view stuff. It has been quite awhile since I looked at their site, so I don’t know if they uploaded GO AND GET IT.
The actor in the barber’s chair has been linked to the Grand Guignol through photos in books about the theater.
I can confirm that the Grand Guignol piece being performed is La Loterie de la Mort ou Sept Crimes dans un Fauteuil (The Lottery of Death, or Seven Crimes in a Barber’s Chair) by Eddy Ghilain and Pierre Larroque in 1957. According to Grand Guignol experts Richard J. Hand and Michael Wilson, Ghilain, an actor, writer, director, dominated the Grand Guignol with his plays and that from 1956 to 1961, twenty-two of his plays were presented at the tiny theater of horror. In 1960, all of the pieces performed were his. (Hand and Wilson have written several books about the Grand Guignol and are essential reading for anyone interested in the subject.) I think this makes it likely that the footage is authentic and from the Grand Guignol.
KSN was our NBC affiliate in SW Nebraska. Great childhood memories.
💀🪦 💀⚰️ 💀🪦 💀⚰️ 🎵
Great record
The mavens at the Classic Horror Film Board identified the ghost clip as an effects shot for THE UNINVITED (1944). Go to the 1:32:42 mark of the Blu-Ray from The Criterion Collection and one can see that this is correct.
Wonderful
Do you have this clip without the text on the top left?
Where did you find this clip?
Wow, I'd never heard of this till today. This looks brilliant.
The song itself isn't creepy. What makes it creepy is the quality of the audio
Interesting observation...
Congratulations! you found 13 seconds of lost media!
The entire film is extant and archived at the Cineteca Nazionale Italiana. This is the clip they sent out showing moments from the film.
@@garyp11111 Cool!
