I did this walk everyday morning for the 3 days I was there but there was more ppl lol this year may28-june1st a lovely sheep farmer named Michael took us on a tour to his sheep farm about 15mins. into the counrtyside, most memorable experience ever for me, everything was beautiful to see, and a few good nights at the friendly pub McNamaras, that was great too! a happy Canadian visitor here :) want to go back for sure, thanks for sharing, I got many pictures of Louisburg <3

Worked on a dairy farm outside Oldcastle in 1974,I used to phone home from a hotel in the town little did I know my telephone calls were been listened to by the receptionist in the hotel and the contents of my conversation relayed to my employer. My co-workers weren’t very friendly very cheeky and nasty individuals. Thankfully I left and never returned.

Uncle (well great uncle) Charlie Harkins had a farm about a half mile from mountcharles, went every year as kids, or if no room at the farm stayed in meechans boarding house in the village. Does anyone remember my Uncle or his son liam, both buried in the churchyard.

I spent the first 15 years of my life in Mountcharles. Many fond memories. Left there in the late 1950s. The town has changed some, the house where I grew up is gone. My grandparents lived in the Corner House. It had the oldest liquor license in all of Ireland from the 1560s. Hope to visit there for the last time in June (Stage-4 cancer).

I've been a regular visitor to Bundoran since 1964 and it has certainly come on a bit since then, certainly as far as accommodation is concerned. The best thing about the town is the beach and the coastal walks.Roguey is probably the best for beginners. Essentially one street, the town needs a bypass to remove the heavy through traffic. Some of the eateries have managed to escape the great Irish food revolution and should be selected with caution. All in all the town is best suited to (sunny) day trips or being used as a base to tour Donegal and/or the west coast.

I miss Cavan so much😭😭 It's like my second home now, but i think I'd never return to Ireland..

Great video. Planning to go in a few months on a heritage tour. Will be stopping by Blessings Bar as Louis Blessing is my second cousin 2x removed. Sure it's obscure. But it's a connection nonetheless.
