DeLorean is a time travel machine in America. The 80s Foxbody Mustang is more like the "American 86." The corvette replaces the RX7 FD perfectly though

That was hilarious and well done! 👌 I was expecting a Pontiac Fiero or Dodge Daytona to show up haha, but a Delorean is even crazier.
Kind of doesnt make sense, since ae86 and the mercedes us the same side, takumi would've accelerated and saved himself since the ae86 is an rwd. Mercedes is not exactly thant fast either Also, kind of doesnt make sense that Natsuki Mogi (ex gf of takumi) didnt bother stopping papa. Never saw papa on the touge before. Anyway, seriously speaking, this animation is SO high quality🤩

The best American equivalent for an AE86 of the same era would definitely be a fox body Mustang. Cheap, surprisingly great handling, low power but enough torque for burnouts and drifting.
