Sodick-America (SA) is the research and development subsidiary of Sodick Co. Ltd.
It was established in 2000 to develop a new and improved motion controller for Sodick wire EDMs, CNC sinker EDMs, CNC small hole EDMs high speed mills and for 3rd party builders of manufacturing and automation equipment.
SA is located in San Jose,CA, which is also known as the Silicon Valley. Since San Jose is a city known for its abundance of software engineers, it was the ideal location for Sodick's R&D facility. No other city has a higher concentration of software / hardware engineers which were required for Sodick's research and development of motion controller circuitry boards.
