DX12 vs Vulkan | Red Dead Redemption II | Ultra Benchmark | RTX 2080 Ti & AMD 3900X

More results below. From my testing, it's clear that Vulkan has better 0.1% & 1% low's(less stutter) than DX12, this combined with average framerate is very similar between the 2 API's it's clear that Vulkan is the preferred choice. This is probably why Rockstar defaults RDR2 to use Vulkan. That Being said other UA-camrs have done benchmarks and gotten opposite results, DX12 seems to have a lot...

In mine new tests Skylake Quicksync H264 soo close to x264 Slow with 16000 kbps in Quality.
Can’t see a difference
Core i9 gen 14th what can run?
fast
Joke?
How about framerate and noise with 1080p TV and supersampling mode on Ps4 Pro ?
Do super sampling works for PlaystationVR players?
If boost mode make fps go more constant in rdr2 and supersampling makes it look better what if I turn on both?
You'll have a plane at home
@@ghost-9199 This for sure. I literally turned off BM and SS. I just keep High Contrast turned on & adjust settings on my TV accordingly. I no longer live in an Airport.
SS makes the Pro louder since it’s working harder to downscale to 1080p. I mostly keep it turned off with boost mode on.
quick tip: never use CBR (constante bitrate), but CFR (constante quality perception). see ffmpeg h264 documentation for more info about this flag.
and how many value did you use to get same bitrate?
Its actually work, streaming look amazing with x264 CFR (18) and very fast pretty good option for quality and performance, ty!
God dammit, year 2023 and there is still no perfect video quality during streaming no matter how much money do you have.
Hard to notice much after 6000k on a phone screen any way you go
Finally i wound a good demonstration, they are the same.
Now make 1440p vs 1080p with supersampling
Cpu?
why 5840 ?
GTX == x264 Fast RTX == x264 Medium
AMD RX6000 and 7000 series is x264 veryfast - faster?
Worst than that :( i have the 6700xt and for apex its horrible , maybe if you just gonna play lol or dota will be perfect but for fast move its crap@@CuervoVirtual
i need help...can you please explain what is SOURCE..? thanks
that is the unaffected quality of the game image, as if it was not being captured. basically like the raw footage without the encoding and compression added.
what is your prosesor bro
thank you so much, i literally searched so long for this exact video, great information 👍🏼
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks a lot for making this video, man, as a UA-camr/Streamer - I needed for someone to show the difference between GTX NVENC encoders vs RTX to see if I'm getting RX 6000s for x264 or RTX 3000. Thanks, fam. Love ya.
For streaming using nvidia is totally worth it, is like paying extra for that G-Sync on the monitor but you know it works better out of the box... Also RTX does all the encoding inside the VRAM directly, making CPU/RAM requirements even lower when it comes to stream setups.
What did you decide?
@@W4leed., I went with RTX 3080 Sakura Hitomi from Newegg. For 620 USD it was honestly a nobrainer. I'm not really happy with the thermal specs on that GPU (85-86C in 27C room temperature while GPU is on 80% TDP), but if it works - I'm fine with anything.
Virtually zero difference IMO
Refresh your eyes.
If you don't really care about how it looks don't activate it, but for people like me who likes to look at the details it's very useful.
The lights look way more jaggy without SSAA! Pretty much everything is smoother with it.
95% the same...you need 4 microscopes to zoom in to try and find a difference. These things don't matter, what does matter is the actual *GAMEPLAY* ‼️
I'm using PS4PRO PlaystationVR does super sampling any useful for us?😊
o perceptible diff... but CPU stress is very notable
На уровне погрешности.
I like your channel, it's very underrated
i have the same card bro, how did you overclock it? nice video
You can use MSI Afterburner for OC.
how many b-frames?
great video! deserves more attention / views!! very well done
well slow dont worth the cpu you use med is allright
Thanks for putting this comparison together! My main takeaway is that there is almost no difference in quality between veryfast and slow CPU encoding, except that slow puts vastly more strain on the CPU. Good to know, since my Streaming PC's i7-4790 is struggling to encode 60 fps 1080p @ 6000 kbps on medium. I think I will stick with fast and be happy with it until Twitch increases their maximum allowed bitrate. Very useful vid!
Personally I can see a discernible difference. Very fast is a lot more blocky especially at lower bitrates. Medium may be the sweet spot.
dude never go for 1080p/60, even twitch partner dont use 1080p/60, best sweet spot is 720p/60 at 6000kbps, if you are partner then 1664x936p/60 at 8500 kbps, REMEMBER: 8500 kbps bitrate is only allowed for TWITCH PARTNER!
also here is the link to the video for more explanation whitch made my life easier and stream quality mutch better than ever : ua-cam.com/video/gOirjHIRNMY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=AlphaTube
@@scar2k158 you can stream up to 10k even without being partnered btw ~ its not 2016 anymore
I believe with 12th gen, using X264 slow is a non-issue anymore. Might be able to squeeze slightly better image reproduction off of using 12th gen x264 slow than on any other platform. Though, take this with a grain of salt.
2:36 still a win for X264, I wonder what's GPU/CPU usage as well
One thing i noticed.. Supersampling on rdr2 on my ps4 pro.. It does interfere with the lighting, it makes the texture a little bit blurry.. No supersampling the texture the image quality becomes clear.. But that hair aliasing is now visible including the shadow..
Talvez esteja assim porque deixou a gama RGB em completa ao invés de automático 😅
So its better with no supersamoling or with it?
It looks better, but reduces the performance
@@x0vg5hs1 yes but its a bit blurry...
Smoother, less jagged look with it.
I have this exact card, it runs stock 32 under load. Best card I've ever owned. Nice vid
This is 1440p right?
What CPU u used for this video?
