The one thing that worries me about these types of deals is the potential for the government to use it as a way to make companies prioritize hiring people based on immutable characteristics such as race, gender, and sexual orientation over their qualifications by requiring them to meet a diversity quota to qualify for the tax credits. I don't have anything inherently against diversity I just think it is moraly wrong to hire someone based on immutable characteristics regardless of if people with said characteristics are part of a majority or minority group.
