Generally pretty well cleaned up and gone by last tender. Still a beautiful spot. We were just there 9 days ago. Video to come of the special tour I did on main Island.

Got told to put the camera away and if they saw me or anyone in my party filming in the casino itself we would be banned and kicked out. The Star Casino is the name of the whole building - its on signs everywhere. Sorry but if you want to see what is on the gaming floor go look yourself as I am not getting banned just for you.

Unfortunately no. Small denomination Australian notes such as $5 or $10 or coins only. "IF" things have changed since we made this video and I am not aware of it I can let you know as we will "Hopefully weather permitting" be on the Island on Dec 9th this year. Don't forget to book your excursions etc on the Island direct with Joseph through the link supplied in description as Royals rates are nearly 3 x the cost and they use him. Regards Tony & Selina

Hi, yes you can. If you walk down the street towards the STAR and turn right at the intersection it takes you across the foot bridge or if you go down through the car park to the Light Rail stop you can cross over and it brings you through between the Sofitel and the International Convention Centre right to where the Fireworks were. Stand by for a short Video on Tumbalong Park to follow where I walk from the Light Rail crossing up to the Chinese Garden of Friendship and another in the Garden of Friendship.

Hi Joanne. No problem at all. Thank you for correcting me. I would rather know so I dont accidentally upset anyone by pronouncing it incorrectly. The Ni Vanuatu people are so nice and I look forward to returning again in just under12 mths to visit and learn more about their home and culture. We are hoping to get across to Aneityum not that other Island of A knee tium lol, to do the village tour. I am just glad that our Video has reached so many viewers and in doing so has hopefully encouraged more people to visit and book activities through Joseph and the team he has there as I know it benefits so many people especially the children. Agreed, they have turned all the outside space into balconies. It was always nice to be able to stroll around the lower outer decks or just go and sit there watching the waves and smelling tthe sea air. Thats progress though. Interesting that Royal are looking at sending smaller ships back down though and possibly all year round as they could access more ports/destinations due to size. Hope its in next couple of seasons.

Thanks for watching! Selina was the same and ended up absolutely loving it. I am sure that if we had the time she would have gone back to the Island and back again just for the waves lol. Going in it was like a sheet of glass in the morning and we saw turtles and other fish. The water was so clear all the way in. It is hard to explain how blue the water is. Much less hectic trying to find your way around and very relaxing with so many places to go and look at the sea no matter what the weather. The big ships, you have to go up on top deck and get wet if its raining.

Hi Nico. If on a smaller ship like the P&O ones you may get away with it. I would message Joseph through his page on Facebook and book to be safe. If for some reason you cant stop at the Island or are unable to make it, you just let him know and you get your money back. I am sure I included a link in the description. If I stuffed up and didnt, look up Walking Sun Snorkelling Tours and PM Joseph.

Its very puzzling how many places up in that region are still not open to Cruises but you are able to fly in and stay there. Looking at the itineraries right through to mid 2025 there are only a handful of ships stopping at Lifou, Isle de Pine and Mare, most in late 24/25 although I did see that Brilliance of the Seas is stopping at both Mare and Isle de Pines several times in the 23/24 season from Sydney.

Unfortunately that seems to be a very common theme so we consider ourselves very fortunate that we made it first time. Champagne Bay is the mystery to us as, as you say it is rarely visited a bit like Isle de Pine which we thought was closed but I did see it on someones itinerary the other day when we were looking at the offers.

Hi. When it comes to Reef/water shoes I understand your hesitation. I can only recommend the ones we purchased 5 years ago from a local Fishing shop on the Gold Coast which has since closed down but the link below has the exact same ones. Ours have never had the soles come out and I still wear mine today when I go rock fishing so have lasted well. The advantage I found of these over the style more like a sneaker is that I can just slip my flippers on straight over the shoe. The sneaker type was too thick with the big sole on them and at the time I thought why pay for an expensive pair that I will only wear once. Definitely outlasted our expectations 5 fold. As a result we are not pushing out a lot of content ...yet lol. Honestly cant see it being an issue with NZ and we have travelled many times without knowing about it without issue. After a bad deal with one company I dont trust any of them any more.
