I use an app called InShot to layer all of my music. I record the audio and visual and then line it up correctly with the Spotify that I use and do it that way.

For this channel, I’ll only be playing Christian music, but I’ve considered making alternate channels where I play other types of music, so maybe, but for right now, I’m going to put all my energy into growing my main channel. I appreciate the suggestion though.

It’s just two Sire SM 57’s. I put them like that because I wanted to collect the sounds from all the drums not just the one they were mounted to. I took inspiration from the Yamaha EAD 10 which is just one mic mounted to the rim of the kick that picks everything up.

Bro, that’s literally so close how you play it what are you talking about?

I do try to keep things as close to the actual recording for these videos. I give myself some leeway, but for the most part, I try to get as close as I can. For this particular song, I spent several hours of prep and practice making sure that what I was playing stayed true to the recording.
