Is there any relation to the verb חקק? I remember in University I used to remember this word by associating it with חקק (carve). As in God carved his statutes into stone tablets.

Question: The name "Yerob'am": since as you said, names don't change, and the more modern Germanic Yiddish influenced "v" sound, as in this case was originally a "b" sound; shouldn't we pronounce these types of ancient names with the "b" sound?

55:49 seems after sharing the Israel hotel not tax for foreigner, then skipped verse deu 24.6 directly into verse deu 24.7.

10:15 chavruta=study partner=true friend=who can argue with you in same topic(not always agree with you) recently I came across a shop named Talmud in Chinese. Seems some Chinese business men get together there to talk. Talking of Talmud just reminds me this experience.

The normal order is: DDO <- S <- V; if we want emphasis, we can write DDO or S in the first position, but we would have V in the second position anyway. Can we have such an order: V <- DDO <- S?
