Beneteau First 53
The First 53 is a happy mix of classic and modern lines. With a straight slender bow providing plenty of forward space, and a 5-metre maximum beam further aft, she immediately stands out for her sturdy seaworthy looks. Inside Nautor Swan still has an edge. Probably not so much so.
Swan's are amazing, but so is their price. This boat is an excellent boat for the price.
It's more than an edge. There is an ocean of difference in build quality. Every time I dig under the skin of a Beneteau I just see shortcuts and appalling lack of quality. Beneteau's are built by factory workers. Boats like Swan's are built by boatbuilders. There is no comparison. A simple comparison of the keel connection and the installation of the grid/keel floors will tell all.
Beneteau yachts are series yachts, the price-performance ratio is important. The OCEANIS YACHT series, which is Beneteau's premium line, offers higher quality materials. The FIRST 53 has a fantastic hull that was adopted for the Oceanis Yacht 54. The aim is for everyone to find the boat that suits their ideas and budget. Best regards, Brigitte

YES !!!! This is how you sell a boat ! NO EGO....., practical stuff. Some technical space, so it does not stand out to much that you showed all kitchen stuff..... A boat is not sold to a man, a boat is sold to his spouse !(excluding the rare exceptions, go ladies! ) Maybe show short explanation when looking at technical stuff, and what function it brings to the boat ? .... just.... what in the hell is that black thingy that was raised from the forward deck ? 🙂

I spent two weeks on an OY54 earlier this year. It was a beautiful boat and very highly specified and cost the owner €1,000,000. Imagine my surprise to discover that paying €1,000,000 doesn’t buy you a quiet engine. The owner also found out crossing Biscay why having an owners cabin forward is not ideal lol.
